I used 2 1/2" threaded rods run through each of the fiberglass legs to support the whole structure. These rods are then tied together in the waist area with an aluminum plate which also serves as the base plate for the motor control circuit boards (MC7 from Diverse Electronics) that controls the B9 motors via a R/C receiver located in the torso.
