Harry Potter Fan Art

This is a tag I made for my Slytherin loving friend Amy

Ron Weasley

This was my first all paper illustration. My paper art started out as an obsession with punches and punch art. It evolved to what scrappers call paper piecing. Soon I was making everything I could out of paper. It's my favorite medium. For this illustration, I chose a pic from the movie: Chamber of Secrets, did a line sketch and then started on my paper work. I weathered the black paper by running it under water.

Harry Potter: Gryffindor Seeker

Finally did a pic of Harry - chose to do one in his quidditch uniform (which came out quite well). I couldn't bring myself to replace Ron as top dog on my page though :). THis was modeled from a promo shot for COS (did a line drawing of it, etc). I don't remember ever actually seeing a scene like this in the movie though...

Gryffindor House Shield

THought it would be cool to do the badges/shields... this one took me 3 days of almost straight work... ran out of yellow too. ONly 3 more to go!

Ravenclaw House Shield

This one took only 1 day (Sunday). I used blue milky gel and white milky gel for the highlights. 2 more to go!

Prisoner of Azkaban Poster

I had this idea for a POA poster - a sceen with Crookshanks hissing and spitting and leaping to Ron's head. I had my kids pose for this one, made a rough sketch and then started cutting.

Sir Cadogan

I really wanted to do a picture of Sir Cadogan. I thought it would be funny if his horse had a lot more hair than he did. I tried to make the knight look a little bit wild eyed. The metalic silver paper didn't scan well, so I am going to try and make a color copy ASAP or take a digital photo.

Professor Trelawney

I started playing the Professor in a RPG online and really got into her. Found out lots of interesting information about the meaning of Sibyl (seer in Latin) and that in the region of Europe and Asia Minor, there were hundreds of languages, but everyone shared the word for seer: Sibyl. I tried to make her eyes look overly large in her glittering glasses (used shaved ice from Magic Scraps for sparkles).  I used real beads, so this didn't scan evenly.  I will try to get a good digital photo up.
