None		     The newest vessel to enter servie in the Centauri Republican Fleet, the Kutai-class Frigate is the first in a design series of vessels intended to make elements of the Centauri fleets over into a massive raiding force capable of striking hard and fast at the more agressive elements of invading fleets of governments such as the Narn Regime.
     The basic design concept behind the Kutai was the need for a small raiding vessel which could drop out of hyperspace, hit the enemy hard from behind and then run back to hyperspace before other enemy vessels could bring their guns to bear. Several authorities within the Republican Fleet have even gone so far to suggest that these Frigates should never operate alone, instead striking with other vessels such as the Vorchan Light Cruiser or even the larger Primus Heavy Cruisers which could provide badly-needed Starfighter cover.
