The newest class of warship to be designed by the Narn, the Dreadnought is the fifth largest type of vessel to have been seen on the battlefields of the galaxy. Smaller only than the Vorlon and Shadow Planet Killers, the Drakh Mothership and Babylon 5 itself, the Bin'tak Dreadnought bristles with guns and carries four full squadrons of Frazi Fighters as well as enough ground troops to completely subjugate an enemy world. The one major drawback is the time to produce such a vessel as well the Dreadnought's relatively slow speed which makes it a hugely inviting target for faster enemy vessels. To date, only one Dreadnought has been seen in action, the Del'Kyr's Blade, flagship of the Warmaster Del'Kyr. While this vessel proved to be hugely successful against the Shadow forces and later the Vorlons, the Blade suffered from a critical failure to her reactors and had to retire to the Narn spacedocks for a major overhaul. Since then, the Blade has not taken part in a major battle. |
