Angel's Hug

By DragonMage

Notes: *laughs* Okay, ~Treize~ kinda motivated me to write with that little deal...*grins* So, here it is!

"How was your time down on Earth?"

The boy turned around from admiring the Garden and smiled sweetly at the angels who were gathering around him. They had all been to Earth but none of them had ever been left down there to fend for their own. They always had the reassurances that they would be accepted back into Heaven, unlike the boy who had been left down there without that reassurance.

"It was nice, actually," he admitted.

A brown haired angel raised his eyebrow. "How could it be nice? You were taken away from His Lord's light!"

"A man down there took care of me. He was really nice," the boy explained.

"Really? A man? You mean a human?" the brown haired angel asked curiously. "What did he look like?"

"He was...he could have been one of us," the boy said, looking amazed. "He had ginger-colored hair and eyes made like the sky. He's...he's like an angel."

"Angel? You're using their words?" a redhead noted in amusement. All of the other angels laughed lightly. "You were only left down there for a little while. You couldn't have changed that much."

"No. No, it's just that...he called me that." The boy tried not to blush. He turned his head to the side away and allowed his long silky hair to fall into his face and hide the slight blush.

"He called you 'angel'?"

He nodded, still covering his face.

There was a small silence.

"You didn't...you didn't get close to him, did you?" the brown haired angel asked cautiously. They all knew that getting close to a human was forbidden among their kind. They were allowed to observe the humans but they weren't allowed to get close. Humans were God's creations, just like them, but they were below angels and their carnal acts are disgusting and wrong to them. Yes, it was to continue their existence, but they had grown more and more careless over the years. They had all seen what had happened and it horrified them. That was why the Lord forbidden them to associate with them in anyway. It would harm the human's delicate balance. Besides, humans were just animals with souls.

"I still can't believe you actually...talked to one of them," a white haired angel said, glaring slightly at the boy. "How could you? You know we're not allowed to associate with them!" He sniffed and turned away slightly.

"We are!" the boy almost shouted. He was a bit peeved that they were treating him like this. It wasn't as if he had a choice! The man had pulled him out of the river! "What do the angels do when they are ordered by the Lord to go down to Earth?"

"Oh, but they are different. They are not on the same level as us. We are above this! We serve only the Lord," the redhead said, shaking his head. "Surely you must remember this."

The boy wanted to shout at them, to tell them that this kind of thinking was stupid and ignorant. He had learned something down there during his short stay and it was that humans were not just animals with souls, they were something much more. But he held his tongue. He was younger than them and couldn't raise his voice to them.

"Of course I remember this," he finally said. "But..."

"But what?"

"It's nothing. It's not important." He shook his head and managed a small smile. "So, how was everything while I was gone?"

The others smiled approvingly and began to tell him of their day.

The boy snuck away from the others and smiled as he found a gazing pool. He leaned over the edge of the fountain and watched as the world below flashed before his eyes. He loved coming here when no one was bothering with him to watch the humans. They were such fascinating people.

As he watched the boy noticed that a lot of them hugged. Hmm...Hugged. He had heard that said between one of them and it was a curious word. He liked it though, and it looked like hugging was a really good thing. Every time someone hugged they were smiling and laughing. That was good, wasn't it?

While he continued to watch something came to his mind...Hugging. He wanted to try and hug someone. He couldn't try it with the other angels since they would just say it was a 'human thing' and then continue on to lecture him about his obsession with humans and how he must stop and pay attention to being a better angel. How pure could he get before they were satisfied, anyway?

<I want to hug. I want to hug Treize.>

The boy gasped softly as he realized that, yes, he did want to hug Treize. With a small smile, he stood up and went off to find a gate down to Earth.

A few days later...

Treize sighed softly as he stepped out into his garden and stretched. He smiled as he looked up at the shining sun and the wonderfully beautiful sky. It was a good day, even if he did miss his angel. How was he up in Heaven? Was he only a dream conjured up because of Treize's boredom and loneliness?

He didn't know what to think anymore.

<Angel, Angel, Angel...You're the only thing that occupies my mind nowadays. I can't stop thinking about you. I can still see your silky dark hair, your midnight eyes, those smooth, soft limbs. God, all I want to do is gather you up into my arms and just hold you. Just let me hold and I will be content. Or at least for that moment.> Treize began to scold himself for these kind of thoughts about an angel. Angels were pure creatures that were held above mere mortals. He shouldn't day-dream about an angel in such a way.

As he began to walk through his garden to exercise his legs, Treize thought more and more about his angel. Yes, *his* angel. He had came to think of the beautiful boy as his own angel. He did fall into his river, didn't he? He had came on to Treize's property therefore he was Treize's. Or at least that was what Treize's fantasies told him. No one can have an angel. They were grand and untouchable creatures of dreams. Ah, but he could dream! And dream he will.

Suddenly a soft singing filled his ears. Treize stopped walking and looked up from his thoughts. What was that sound? Singing? But he was alone in this garden. No one was out here!

The singing became stronger and stronger; hitting notes Treize never thought was possible, yet it had been reached. His heart stopped at such a beautiful sound. Who was singing? A child? No adult, man or woman could hit such notes. It had to be a child at that tender age when they still carried that sweet, pure voice before it changed it something deeper.

Treize resumed his walk but at a faster pace. He had to find where this voice was coming from. He had to see this person who could sing with such sweetness. It was as clear as bells and just as smooth.

As he came to the rose garden, Treize wasn't prepared for the sight before him. His angel was standing among the flowers, singing. His beautiful angel was standing right there! He was dressed in that loose white shirt and loose baggy pants again. Silky hair falls to his shoulders and lifted slightly as the wind blew gently through the garden.

"Angel?"

His angel stopped singing and looked up. A smile immediately graced his delicate face and his eyes lit up with obvious delight. His angel was glad to see him? Treize's heart swelled and he felt a smile reach his lips as well.

"Treize," came the soft greeting. His angel walked towards him with a smooth grace of a dancer.

"You came back," Treize said, staring at his beautiful angel in awe.

"For a little while." There was a slightly mischievous sparkle to his angel's eyes. Could angels be mischievous? Oh gods, this one can. His can.

"So you'll be leaving again?" Treize tried to hide his disappointment but it was hard. He wanted to take his angel into his arms and bury his face in that black silk. He could already imagine how it would feel against his skin. How would it feel to hold an angel in your arms? Probably better than anything in the world.

His angel nodded. "Yes, but I'll try to come back."

"The Lord is not angry with you?" Treize asked, afraid his angel might get into trouble coming back down here.

"He forgave me. He's a very patient person sometimes," his angel said, cocking his head to the side, his hair falling away to reveal a smooth, milky soft neck. Treize had to work hard to control his breathing. His angel was like a fairy; he didn't want to scare him off.

"Good," Treize said, nodding. Then he noticed that his angel was about to ask him something but something was keeping him back. "Is there something wrong?"

His angel looked up and smiled before shaking his head. "No, not really. I just wanted to come down here and talk to you, and to thank you. I really am grateful to you for taking me out of the river and taking care of me. I don't know how I could have survived on my own. Angels aren't exactly made to survive in this world."

"Of course," Treize said, nodding. "You're welcome."

"Are you still lonely, Treize?" his angel asked softly, his dark eyes filled with worry.

"No, no I'm not," Treize answered honestly. <Because you're here,> he added silently.

"Good. I would have hated you to be lonely. Being lonely is one of the worst feelings for a human, isn't it?" His angel asked.

"Yes, it is."

"I'm learning about humans. I watch you people whenever I can. I have been watching for a long time. But humans are so hard to understand and they keep changing..." His angel looked thoughtful. "Why do you change so quickly? One minute you're females are still wearing dresses, the next they're wearing pants and running all over the place. It's much different from the older times."

"Yes it is. And it probably moved fast because...Isn't time different from Heaven and Earth?"

His angel nodded slowly. "Hmm...You're right. I suppose that is true. Years down on Earth mean nothing up in Heaven. In Heaven everything is eternal."

"True." Treize walked closer to his angel. "Can you tell me about Heaven?"

The angel nodded slowly while he reached out to smooth his finger over the silky petals of a red rose. "I can, but it won't be easy."

"I understand. Heaven is very different from Earth, isn't it?" Treize asked.

"We're only two different planes of consciousness," the angel agreed. "Heaven is all...colors, lights, and flowers. We have a grand Garden that I always like to visit. Heaven is made up of different times and different worlds." The angel stopped and sighed while pouting slightly in frustration. Something Treize found too adorable to bear. The urge to hug his angel became even greater. He was afraid he might not hold back and grab the angel into his arms. Oh, he must keep control!

"It's hard to explain," his angel finally said. "I'm sorry, Treize."

"No, you tried. I seriously doubt anyone can truly understand Heaven until they see it," Treize said gently as he took another step closer.

His angel nodded with a soft smile on his pink lips.

<Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. There's no other words to describe him. Wait, ethereal.> Treize battled with his desire as he walked closer and closer until he was only a few breaths away from his angel. They were standing so close yet at a respectable distance at the same time. He didn't want to scare or offend the angel. No, quite the opposite. He wanted the angel to warm up to him and stay as long as he could. He wanted the angel all for himself. Gods, he was selfish.

The angel noticed that Treize had came closer and closer. Would Treize appreciate a hug from him? He surely hoped so. He only had a little more time left before he had to go...He just hoped Treize wouldn't be offended when he hugged him. And he wanted to hug the other man so badly! He wanted to know how it felt. His curiosity always did him in, sometimes.

"I've got to go," the angel said softly as he looked up to meet cornflower colored eyes. <They're more beautiful then the sky,> the angel amended as he thought back on his past words. <Much more beautiful.> "And...and I'd like to thank you again."

Treize tried very very hard not to say 'No!' and grab the angel close. And he succeeded. Control. Yes, control!

"Of course. I hope you can come back," he said, nodding although his heart ached at seeing his angel leave again after such a short visit.

"I'll try." His angel seemed to battle with himself before the beautiful creature suddenly wrapped his arms around Treize in a tight yet hesitant hug.

It took a moment before Treize could register what had happened. Then his world was filled with this warm fuzzy feeling and he quickly returned the hug before the angel had a chance to let go and disappear on him.

Oh, the feeling of those silky limbs against him was almost too much. His angel was so warm, so soft and so strong at the same time. He felt perfect in Treize's arms. So very very perfect. Treize resisted the urge to bury his face in those silky strands and just hugged the angel tightly against his body. He sighed happily and continued to drink up and savor the feeling of his angel's wonderful body against his. <I have been spoiled,> he thought again, remembering his thoughts a few nights before. <I have been spoiled by this angel. I will never love any other.>

The angel almost purred in content as he felt Treize's strong arms enclose around him. Hugging was nice! It was very, very nice. No wonder those people he had seen hugging were always smiling when they did it. Hugging was a wonderful thing to do.

Sensing his angel pull away, Treize reluctantly released him. The angel stepped away from him, his limbs slowly sliding away from Treize's as he stood away at a good distance. His angel had the most happiest smile on his face and a soft blush was made across his smooth cheeks. He looked too beautiful, too unreal for words. Treize's heart cried at the beauty of the angel before him. Ah, this angel was probably God's most perfect creation.

"Thank you, Treize," came the soft, shy words before his angel turned and disappeared in another shimmer of gold.

Treize stood there for a very very long time. He just stared at the spot where his angel had last stood as his mind raced with incoherent thoughts. Then he turned and headed back inside, his angel's body forever imprinted against his own.

~*~

As he slept that night, Treize could still feel his angel's body against his own and he had a very difficult time trying to fall asleep. He just wanted his angel spooned against him where he could always touch him and love him.

When he finally feel asleep, Treize was dreaming and hoping for the next visit from his angel to come soon.
