Chapter 6
A Tough Decision
In France...
Sailor Pluto was struggling to stop an earthquake alone by herself when Sailor Mercury and Sailor Uranus. They fell to their knees the minute their feet touched the trembling ground.
"This thing's shaking hard!" Sailor Uranus shouted as she struggled to stand up. She grabbed on to Sailor Mercury and stopped her from falling into a crack in the ground.
"Thank you!" Sailor Mercury shouted. She touched her earrings and her Mercury Computer Visor appeared. She pulled out her Mercury computer and began to type furiously away at it.
Sailor Pluto was grateful to have them there. She needed all the help she could get. She had tried her new attacks to suspend the earthquake as long as possible but it didn't seem to be working. An earthquake is a great thing. If she did something wrong she could send the earthquake into a more populated area and kill more people. Something everyone wanted to avoid. When Sailor Moon had stopped the earthquake in Tokyo, Japan, she had used Moon Magic and just calmed all the shaking. That was a great thing and used a lot of energy that Sailor Moon had inside of her.
"The earthquake is moving very far. We have to stop it now!" Sailor Mercury shouted.
"How?" Sailor Pluto exclaimed. "It isn't an easy task."
"Of course not. Man, I wish Sailor Moon was here. She stopped the last one pretty easily," Sailor Uranus said.
"None of us really have that kind of power," Sailor Mercury said, shaking her head.
"Then let's combine powers!" Sailor Pluto shouted.
"All right," Sailor Uranus and Sailor Mercury agreed together.
They all held hands and concentrated hard. Suddenly they all lit up and power began to build up around them. They floated a few inches off the ground so the earthquake wouldn't effect them. Power circled them and grew stronger.
A bright ball of gold, blue and black power appeared in the center of the small circle. It glowed brighter and brighter as the three girl's concentrated their power together and made it stronger.
"Uranus Crystal Power!"
"Mercury Crystal Power!"
"Pluto Crystal Power!"
The ball rose high in the air. Then it slammed down into the ground and the shaking stopped.
All three girls sighed heavily and collapsed on to the ground and passed out in unconsciousness.
In Northern Africa....
Eternal Sailor Moon was treating a burn when she felt something turn inside of her. She looked up and gasped inaudibly. Someone had used strong power. She reached out and searched out those who had used great power.
Sailor Pluto.
Sailor Uranus.
Sailor Mercury.
Idiots! How could they do that? She finished treating the man and stood up, leaning against her Eternal Moon Tier Staff. She straightened and narrowed her eyes. They had used their power to the point of near death. How stupid were they? Anger raged through Serena's veins. She hated it when her friends did this. She didn't want them killing themselves by using a power that wasn't inside of them.
"Nurse Rachel," Sailor Moon said. She turned and faced the nurse. "I need to leave. Will you take care of Sailor Saturn? I'm sorry, but there's something very urgent that I have to take care of."
Rachel nodded. "Of course."
"Thank you." Sailor Moon turned and disappeared in a glitter of white light.
In France...
Eternal Sailor Moon appeared beside her friends. She looked down at them and knelt down beside Sailor Mercury. She reached out and touched her friend's neck. Then she closed her eyes and sighed in relief. She was still alive. She touched each of her friend's neck and found that they were all still alive. They're pulse was weak but it was steady.
"Gosh, you guys. You always have to go and get yourself killed, don't you?" Sailor Moon whispered harshly.
How do I wake them up then? Sailor Moon wondered. She lifted Sailor Mercury into her arms and slapped her friend's face slightly. In the past she would be sobbing and begging for Sailor Mercury to wake up but now she was older and she knew more. She knew Sailor Mercury would survive.
Sailor Mercury stirred and moaned softly.
"Welcome back," Sailor Moon whispered as Sailor Mercury opened her eyes.
"Sailor Moon?"
"Yeah, it's me. What have you guys been doing?" Sailor Moon asked. She helped Sailor Mercury stand and then went to Sailor Uranus and Sailor Pluto. She slapped their cheeks and finally touched them with her Tier. They gasped and woke up.
"All right, can you please tell me what you guys have been doing?" Sailor Moon demanded angrily. "You almost killed yourselves."
"But we aren't dead," Sailor Uranus replied. "So we're okay."
"That is no excuse!" Sailor Moon shouted shakily. She was afraid. They could all see that. "I don't want any of you dead! You can save the world but you have to save yourself in order to save the world!"
"We're sorry, we didn't mean to," Sailor Mercury said, shaking her head. "But the earthquake was so bad..."
"I know," Sailor Moon said softly. She sighed wearily and leaned tiredly against her Eternal Moon Tier Staff. She hadn't rested in a very long time and her stomach was complaining. But there were some important things to take care of first so food would have to wait. "You better start checking for an problems. You can stop the earthquake but you've got to help out afterwards."
"All right," Sailor Uranus said, nodding.
"Then let's go," Sailor Moon suggested. She turned and walked through the wreckage. The others followed as they helped out all the survivors with good and medicine.
In Germany...
Tuxedo Mask smiled as he bandaged up the little girl's head. He had washed the wound and rubbed some cream on it. Now he was finishing it off by wrapping a white bandage around the little girl's head gently.
"What happened after the princess defeated Galaxia?" The little girl asked quietly. She was eating a piece of candy and enjoying the story Tuxedo Mask was telling her.
"The princess saved Galaxia. She made Galaxia good again and brought back all her friends," Tuxedo Mask said. He finished bandaging the girl and smiled. "There, all better. How do you feel?"
"Good. So, the princess got all her friends back? What about her prince?"
"Her and the prince lived happily ever after," Tuxedo Mask said.
"That's nice. I always liked stories with good endings," the little girl said happily. She didn't seem at all afraid as she had been at first when Tuxedo Mask came to treat her wounds.
"Me too," Tuxedo Mask said, smiling. He stood up and went to attend to other injured people.
"That was really nice, Tuxedo Mask," Sailor Jupiter said. She smiled at him and punched him lightly on the shoulder. "Of course, how would the girl know that the story is true?"
Tuxedo Mask laughed and shook his head. "How are your patients doing?"
"Fine. I have a fine touch for healing," Sailor Jupiter said, smiling. "I just hope Sailor Mars isn't having any trouble. She might be scaring the wits out of the poor people with her temper."
"Am not!" Sailor Mars protested. She came up with a bowl of water and a yellow blood soaked yellow cloth. "Man, this is hard work. And you want to become a doctor, Tuxedo."
"I don't know. He is pretty good with the kids," Sailor Jupiter said, nodding and grinning. "I think he'll make a fine doctor."
"Sure. Look, where's the antiseptic?" Sailor Mars asked.
"I know where it is," Sailor Jupiter said. "Come on." She lead Sailor Mars over to a cabinet where all the medicines and bandages were kept.
"You know, as hard as this is, it's better than facing off with a tornado," Sailor Mars admitted as she pulled out a bottle of antiseptic.
"Yeah. And Darien is pretty good with the kids, isn't it?"
"Serena's lucky," Sailor Mars said quietly.
"I know," Sailor Jupiter agreed. "I wonder if we'll ever find our true loves."
Sailor Mars smiled. "What about Ken?"
"Ken? Oh, he's just a friend," Sailor Jupiter protested, blushing slightly. "What about Chad?"
"Chad? Puh-lease," Sailor Mars said in disgust. "I mean, the guy's a total air head. How can I relate to someone like that?"
"I don't know. He seems to like you," Sailor Jupiter teased. She took the bloody bowl from Sailor Mars and walked over to the sink and began to clean it. Then she filled with a little water and handed it back to Sailor Mars with a new, clean towel. "Let's get back to work. There's so much to do."
"Your right," Sailor Mars agreed.
In France....
"Look at this place," Sailor Uranus said in disgust as she looked around the crumbling apartment building. She turned to Sailor Pluto. "Are you sure you heard someone calling from here?"
"I'm sure," Sailor Pluto insisted. "I heard someone crying for help. I wasn't hearing things."
Sailor Mercury was working at her computer with her Mercury Computer Visor on. She was frowning with a pained expression on her face. "There's bodies in here. Dead bodies. No one's alive in here." Her voice was thick with pain and tears.
Sailor Moon had a pale expression and she didn't look happy. In fact, tears was streaming down her face but they were silent. She didn't make a single noise as they continued to go deeper into the building in search of any survivors.
"Sailor Moon, it's all right. We expected this when we started this," Sailor Uranus said comfortingly. She slipped an arm around the smaller girl's shoulders and held her close. "You can get through this. Come on, be a strong girl. You know your a strong girl. You faced off with Galaxia without any of us. Be strong through this."
Sailor Moon nodded slowly but the tears continued to slip down her face. She buried her face in Sailor Uranus's shoulder and cried hard. Sailor Uranus held her close and comforted her.
"Come on, we have someone to save," Sailor Mercury whispered to Sailor Moon. She reached out and touched the girl's face and smiled. "You can make it, right?"
Sailor Moon nodded and straightened. "Of course. I'm Eternal Sailor Moon." She smoothed down her skirt and managed a small smile. "That and I'm 21. I'm suppose to be strong. I'm not sixteen anymore!" She giggled and clutched her Tier even tighter. "Let's go."
Sailor Uranus smiled and nodded. "All right, let's go."
They walked through the dark building slowly as Sailor Mercury did her computer work. They came to another hall and found that it had collapsed in on itself.
"There's no one," Sailor Mercury reported.
"But I heard someone," Sailor Pluto said insistently.
Suddenly they all heard crying and screaming for help.
"Where are you?" Sailor Moon shouted, stepping forward.
"Sailor Moon! Watch out!" Sailor Uranus shot forward and pushed the girl out of the way as another part of the ceiling fell in. A piece of plaster and hard wood scraped her leg as she pushed Sailor Moon away from the danger. She gasped and winced in pain as blood appeared and stained her navy blue boots as she dropped to the ground, narrowly missing the falling ceiling.
"Oh, my goodness! I'm so sorry!" Sailor Moon gasped. "I'm such an idiot. I can't believe I didn't watch out. Are you all right, Sailor Uranus?"
Sailor Uranus touched her wound and wiped away the blood sharply. "It's nothing. Let's go look for that child we heard."
"How do you know it was a child?" Sailor Mercury asked.
"It was pretty obvious. Come on." Sailor Uranus continued walking as if the deep cut didn't even bother her.
"Wait! Why don't we split up?" Sailor Pluto suggested. "We would move much faster."
"She's right. Let's split up," Sailor Mercury agreed.
"All right. I'll go with Sailor Moon," Sailor Uranus said, nodding.
"Good."
They all split up. Sailor Mercury with Sailor Pluto and Sailor Moon with Sailor Uranus.
Sailor Mercury and Sailor Pluto headed off in one direction and Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus headed off in another.
"Ooh, this place is dark," Sailor Moon whispered a bit fearfully. "I hate dark places."
"We better find the child before something happens. Come on, Sailor Moon. Move," Sailor Uranus urged.
Sailor Moon nodded and followed Sailor Uranus as they walked down the dark corridor.
"Help me!" The voice came loud and clear. It was a little girl.
"Come on!" Sailor Uranus shouted. Sailor Moon nodded and they started running. Sailor Uranus rounded the corner and they came to an apartment room. Sailor Uranus pushed open the door. They ran through the apartment and came to a little room. A child was trapped underneath a fallen bed. She was crying very hard and obviously in a lot of pain.
"Hush, little baby," Sailor Moon whispered in French. She knelt down beside the little girl and pushed back her brown hair. "My little child, we'll save you. Don't you worry. We'll get you out of here."
"Where's my Mommy?" The little girl sobbed in French. "Where is she? I miss my Mommy!"
Sailor Uranus disappeared and reappeared after a few minutes. Her face pale and tight. "I'm sorry, but they're dead," she whispered to Sailor Moon in Japanese.
Sailor Moon paled and swallowed hard. She nodded slowly and turned back to the little girl. Her heart wrenched at the pain of seeing the sadness in the little girl's gray eyes. Oh, how she wanted to wipe the pain from the little girl's eyes.
"Your parents are away right now, little one. What is your name?" She asked softly as she signaled for Sailor Uranus to help her lift the cracked bed up so she could pull the little girl out from underneath.
Sailor Uranus bent down and grunted as she lifted the bed up with all her strength. Sailor Moon quickly pulled the girl out from underneath and cradled the little girl in her arms. The child cried out in pain. Her left leg had been disturbed from being pulled out. It was broken and there was blood everywhere. It stained Sailor Moon's uniform and her gloves but she held on and held the child close.
"I know your hurting, but it'll go away. Just don't move and let me and Sailor Uranus help you," Sailor Moon said comfortingly. "Now, tell me your name."
"It's Amelia," the little girl sniffed. "Amelia de Leon."
"De Leon? Doesn't that mean of lion?" Sailor Moon asked gently.
"Yes."
"Well, Amelia, since your name is so strong, you will be strong. I'm sometimes weak but I remember that there's many people depending on me and I try to be strong. And you know what?"
"What?"
"I am strong because I believe in myself. Can you do that for me? I'm depending on you. Can you be strong and brave?"
Amelia was silent for a while. Then she nodded slowly. "I will."
"What a beautiful child you are." Sailor Moon turned to Sailor Uranus and nodded. "Let's get out of here."
"I'll contact the others," Sailor Uranus agreed. They walked out of the apartment and down the hall. Sailor Uranus was contacting Sailor Pluto and Sailor Mercury telling them that they found the child and it was better if they all left the building.
"Are you both super heroes?" Amelia asked in a quiet voice.
"We are," Sailor Uranus said, nodding.
"I always thought super heroes were guys. Now I can tell everyone that they're wrong and they can be girl's too," Amelia said happily.
Both Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus laughed.
Suddenly they heard something crack and a loud crash. Everything blacked out and then became white for Sailor Moon as she felt herself being thrown to the ground by powerful hands. She used her body as a shield as both she and Amelia dropped to the ground heavily.
Amelia cried out in pain and sobbed.
Sailor Moon sat up with the child in her arms and looked frantically around for Sailor Uranus who wasn't there any more. Another earthquake was starting to breakout again. "Sailor Uranus?! Sailor Uranus where are you?! Corinne!!!"
