Chapter 4
Where is Justice?
"Okay, we have to save the whole world which means we all have to split up into pairs and work around. It means transporting." Eternal Sailor Moon frowned and looked down at her uniform. "It feels strange to wear it again." She shrugged. "All of you guys are much more stronger which means you can transport easily without the other's help. Right?"
They all nodded.
"We are stronger since the battle with Galaxia. Transporting on our own shouldn't be any problem." Sailor Mercury calculated as she tapped furiously away at her miniature Mercury computer. Her Mercury Computer Visor was across her blue eyes as she enhanced everything and learned more about what was going on around the globe.
"So...What's the problem?" Sailor Uranus asked impatiently. She was tried of standing around doing nothing. She wanted to go out and fix whatever problems were going on around Japan and the rest of the world.
"Well, there's a lot of ecological problems. Oils spills, pollution and waste. These things have been around for years but they've just begun to show signs of danger. Soon there will be water pollution due to all the sewage dumped into the water and the oil spills and oil barrels thrown into the ocean," Sailor Mercury reported. She looked up from her computer and sighed. "It doesn't look good."
"Nothing looks good," Sailor Mars muttered. She looked up with a determined expression on her stern face. "Let's get to work."
"Where do we start?" Sailor Venus asked.
"Where's there's most danger," Sailor Neptune said in a matter-of-fact tone. She held out her hand and Sailor Mercury slowly handed her the computer. Sailor Neptune quickly tapped away at the little computer, doing everything pretty fast and well to Sailor Mercury's annoyance.
"Where's that?" Sailor Jupiter asked.
"There's an earthquake about to happen in California. A tornado in Kansas. A hurricane down in Florida. All of these are happening in America. There's going to be bad air pollution in England..." Sailor Neptune trailed off as she continued to tap away at the computer. "There's going to be a lot of earthquakes in Japan." She looked up with a very worried expression on her face. "A factory has exploded in Russia and now everything in a twelve mile diameter is being affected by the poisonous gases. From what the computer is telling me the area around the factory is quickly being laid to waste."
"What kind of factory was that?" Sailor Jupiter demanded.
"A nuclear one," Sailor Neptune said quietly. "People are dying. The numbers are getting higher."
"We've got to go up there and help out!" Sailor Moon shouted. All the Inner Scouts nodded in agreement.
"It's too dangerous. We'll be exposing ourselves to the poison," Sailor Pluto protested, shaking her head.
"But people are dying!" Sailor Moon exclaimed. "We can't just let them die. We're suppose to save people." Suddenly she stepped back and closed her eyes. Immediately she disappeared before anyone could do anything to stop it.
"Stupid girl!" Sailor Uranus shouted angrily.
"Serena!" Tuxedo Mask exclaimed.
"The meatball-head!" Luna shouted. "Why did she do that?" Artemis was standing beside her, tense with worry and anger.
"Where did she go?" Sailor Saturn shouted. She was afraid for her friend, very afraid.
"Russia of course," Sailor Pluto said calmly. "There's no need to panic. The Silver Crystal is protecting her. It won't let her die."
"We have to go after her!" Sailor Mars said angrily. "Stupid. Why did she go like that?"
"Because she cares for people," Sailor Mercury said, shaking her head. "But we do have to go after her to make sure she's okay. We have to help her. She can't do everything on her own."
"Then let's go," Tuxedo Mask said. "We have to protect her."
"Of course," Sailor Neptune said. She handed Sailor Mercury back her computer and looked at everyone. "Let's do it."
They all nodded and joined hands. They all bowed their heads and concentrated hard as they called for their power. They all glowed with their aura power and quickly disappeared.
Luna and Artemis sat there, again they couldn't follow their scouts into battle but stay where they were and waited for any word from them.
"I hope they'll be all right," Artemis said quietly.
"Of course. I just hope they'll be prepared for the future and what it might bring," Luna said.
In Russia....
Eternal Sailor Moon gasped and screamed in pain at what she saw. Everything was dead. There wasn't a single thing alive. Everything was laid to waste. She couldn't do anything. She realized this immediately as she looked about herself in the black dead lands. Nothing could have survived. Nothing.
She fell to her knees and sobbed for all the death around her. It hurt so much to know that so many people had died. She was suppose to protect these people and now so many was dead. She didn't do her job and now all these people were dead. They were all so innocent. Never realized that today was the day of death for it. It wasn't fair. It just wasn't fair. She pounded the ground in anger as she sobbed. It wasn't fair. Nothing was fair. People died for no reason at all, there was no justice in that. No justice at all! Why should people die when they've done nothing wrong? Why should they die because of another person's mistake?
It wasn't fair that the world was coming to an end and these people had taken their end too soon. They could have lived longer. She would have found a solution to everything and they would all live. She was the fighter for love and justice but where was the justice she was fighting for? She cried and silently demanded that of the world. Where was the justice she was fighting for?
Then she noticed that she was glowing a bright white aura. She looked down at her hands, tears still rolling down her cheek, and stared in wonder. She was glowing white. Why? Then she realized that the Silver Crystal was protecting her. Making sure she wasn't harmed my the dangerous poisons that had occurred during the fatal explosion.
"Sailor Moon! Thank goodness your all right!" Sailor Venus appeared beside Sailor Moon, she held the sobbing girl as everyone else looked around themselves. They were all glowing with their power auras to protect themselves. It was a beautiful blend of yellow and white as they two friends held each other. One sobbing, the other comforting.
Tuxedo Mask dropped down beside his love and took her from Sailor Venus's arms. He held her tightly, now his darker aura mixing with hers.
"We're all sadden by this, my love, but we'll fix it. People might be dead here but we can save the rest of the world," he whispered.
"It isn't fair," Sailor Moon sobbed painfully. "It just isn't fair."
Sailor Uranus dropped down beside them. "Nothing is fair, Sailor Moon but we are strong we can deal with this."
Sailor Moon looked at Sailor Uranus and Tuxedo Mask. "Thank you." She looked at Sailor Venus and held her hand. "Thank you." She stood up bravely and looked around herself. "We can still save this place."
"But it's been laid to waste. Nothing can restore it," Sailor Mars protested.
Sailor Moon shook her head. "I know. But we can stop the effects from going any further. Let's burn this poison out of the air before anyone else can get hurt. We can use our power and heal this place. Together."
They all smiled and walked around in a circle around Sailor Moon. She stepped in between Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Uranus and held their hands. Then they all closed their eyes and concentrated. Slowly they lit up with their aura power and everything surrounding them became a bright light.
"Mercury Crystal Power!"
"Mars Crystal Power!"
"Jupiter Crystal Power!"
"Venus Crystal Power!"
"Neptune Crystal Power!"
"Uranus Crystal Power!"
"Pluto Crystal Power!"
"Saturn Crystal Power!"
"Moon Eternal Power!"
Everything started to break up around them as their power affected everything around them. The wind picked up and blew fiercely as the scouts continued to focus their power and forming it into a strong energy that would help Sailor Moon heal all that had been ruined.
"Moon Healing Crystal Power!" Eternal Sailor Moon shouted loudly as she used the power with all her strength.
Suddenly a beam shot out from the center of the power circle of scouts and then dipped down to spread its power all throughout Russia. It moved quickly as it healed everything that was destroyed by the nuclear power plant explosion.
