Chapter 11
An Icy End
In Kansas, America....
Eternal Sailor Moon gave a shout of exertion and swung the Eternal Moon Tier Staff around. She quickly released the ball of energy that was forming at the top of her Tier and watched anxiously as it slammed into the tornado which was moving dangerously close to the residential area. She screamed as she was thrown back by the result of slamming her power with the force of the tornado. She slammed into a telephone pole and slid down to the hard ground. She closed her eyes as the pain washed over her.
But she had stopped the tornado. Everything began to calm down as the tornado slowly disappeared from sight. Then the sky cleared and it didn't even look like there was a tornado except for the damage that had been done by the horrible thing. Many fences had been ripped up and the ground was torn from the spinning power of the tornado as it moved across the ground.
"Princess Serenity!" A voice shouted.
Startled, Sailor Moon's eyes flew open and she leaped to her feet. She gasped and weaved on her feet as the pain shocked her every cell. She sighed and collapsed to the ground.
"Princess Serenity!" The person shouted again. Suddenly there was a woman dressed in a peach Sailor Scout uniform. "Oh goodness, are you all right?"
"Who are you?" Sailor Moon asked. She struggled to her feet with the help of the strange, new scout. She looked at her face and blinked. "Your a scout. How?"
The woman smiled. "I'm Sailor Callisto, Princess of the Callisto Moon and guardian warrior to Princess Amelia. It's wonderful to see you again, Princess Serenity."
Sailor Moon moaned and went limp in Sailor Callisto's arms.
"I think you were hit a bit hard." Sailor Callisto slowly lowered Sailor Moon to the ground and smiled as she pushed away the golden hair. "You've got to rest. You've been fighting for some time. And that blow to the head didn't do any good either."
Sailor Moon blinked and closed her eyes painfully. The girl was saying too many things at the same time. She was still a bit fuzzy so everything Sailor Callisto just said really didn't make sense to her. Princess of the Callisto Moon? Princess Amelia? Who was Princess Amelia? And why did this scout keep calling her Princess Serenity? She wasn't even in her princess gown.
"Okay, please repeat everything you've just said but slowly. I'm have a bit of trouble processing everything."
Sailor Callisto smiled and nodded. "Of course. You see, I am Sailor Callisto. I am also Princess of the Callisto Moon. Your mother, Queen Serenity, brought me down to Earth so I can guard and protect your adopted daughter Amelia de Leon who is now a princess because you have adopted her."
Sailor Moon sighed and ran everything through her head. So, her mother had decided to give Amelia a protector. And she supposed it was true that Amelia was now a princess since she was going to be adopted by her and she was of royal blood.
"Thank you for telling me that. Now, why aren't you with Amelia?"
"Because Luna and Artemis are protecting her. Please, Princess Serenity, tell me what I can do to help you," Sailor Callisto said.
"You can help me by being my crutch for a while. I'm a little dizzy but I still have a lot of work to do," Sailor Moon said.
Sailor Callisto nodded helped Sailor Moon to her feet.
"Thank you. All right. Let's get out of here. We've got to introduce you to the others."
"All right. Where to?"
"England. They're dealing with a pollution and earthquake problem there," Sailor Moon said weakly.
Sailor Callisto nodded and concentrated her power. Sailor Moon did the same and they disappeared.
In England....
"Sailor Moon!" Sailor Mars gasped. She ran forward and caught the girl as she fell forward from the grasps of a girl in a Sailor uniform.
"Is she all right?" Sailor Mercury asked.
"No, she's a bit pale," Sailor Mars said, shaking her head.
"Here, let me help," Sailor Uranus said. She stepped forward and easily lifted the unconscious girl into her arms and carried her over to an empty bed and laid her there.
"She just hit her head really hard and we just teleported so she's not very strong," the strange scout reported. "But I believe she'll be okay. Possible concussion though. I'm not sure."
"Who are you?" Tuxedo Mask asked.
"Sailor Callisto." The woman smiled and bowed. "Prince Endymion."
Tuxedo Mask started and stepped forward suspiciously. "How do you know that?"
"Why wouldn't I know? We were good friends in the past," Sailor Callisto said, smiling slightly. "I know you all lost your memories of the Sailor Wars and the Silver Millennium. But I was a loyal ally to both you and Princess Serenity as well as the rest of the Planetary Princesses."
"She's telling the truth," Sailor Pluto said, nodding. "She is Sailor Callisto. I remember her. A very strong fighter. What are you doing here, Sailor Callisto? Last I knew you were still resting in the Crystal Realm."
"Well, Queen Serenity sent me down to Earth to protect Princess Amelia, Princess Serenity's adopted daughter," Sailor Callisto explained simply.
They all looked at Sailor Moon who was still out of it on the bed and gasped a bit.
"She's adopting Amelia?!" Sailor Venus blurted out in shock.
"Why didn't she tell us?" Sailor Mars demanded, irritated.
Sailor Mercury turned a bit red. "What do you mean? I thought you all knew."
"When did she tell you this?" Sailor Neptune asked.
"Oh, a few days ago. I asked her and she said that she was going to adopt Amelia. I thought she told you guys already so I didn't say anything." Sailor Mercury looked down sheepishly.
Tuxedo Mask was very calm as she walked over to Sailor Moon and knelt down beside her. "She told me before we split up that she was adopting Amelia. She didn't say anything about telling the rest of you. I guess she either forgot or didn't want to announce it just yet."
"And your both okay with this?" Sailor Jupiter asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, I mean, adopting a kid is hard work," Sailor Uranus agreed.
"We are going to get married sometime soon and we are going to have children," Tuxedo Mask reminded them. "It's not going to make much difference."
"Yeah, but newly weds don't want to deal with children," Sailor Mars said in a know it all tone.
"It's okay," Tuxedo Mask said, smiling slightly. "We can deal with it."
"I guess, it is your decision," Sailor Uranus said.
"I think it's sweet," Sailor Saturn said quietly. "Amelia is a very lovable girl and she deserves to have a family after losing her own at such a young age and so quickly."
"Don't worry. I know they'll do fine," Sailor Pluto said, smiling slightly.
"I sure hope so," Sailor Venus said quietly.
"I wouldn't worry too much," Sailor Neptune said. "They're both really good with children." They all moved away from Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Moon and Sailor Callisto.
"But what about Rini?" Sailor Venus reminded them. "I guess she'll have an older sister."
"She never told us about one before," Sailor Mercury mused, frowning slightly.
"She never liked to talk about her family in the first place," Sailor Uranus said, cocking her head to the side a bit.
"Uranus is right. I guess it's true," Sailor Saturn agreed.
"That's sweet though. Serena and Darien adopting a little girl," Sailor Venus sighed dreamily.
They all chucked and giggled.

Sailor Moon sat at the window of the England hospital, looking out with a distant expression on her face as she watched the pollution gather and block out the stars and Moon. She wished she could see the Moon. It always comforted her and help her think better. It always cleared her mind and helped her work through all her problems. But now there was no Moon. She would have to think on her own without help.
If only I can keep all of this forever. If only I could freeze it all and keep the world perfect. Before all of this happened. If only...Oh, this isn't going to do any good, Serena, she yelled at herself. You can't just 'if only' everything. You've got to do something. Action. It's the only thing that can save this world. I can't sit here and just wish all the time. It just doesn't work like that.
Slowly a thought dawned on her. She felt her heart race as she formed the thought even more and finally came to a conclusion. She was breathing hard from excitement.
It might just work if she tried.
Jumping up from her seat she searched out her friends and found them sitting in the cafeteria sipping coffee or tea and talking quietly among themselves.
"Sailor Moon! What's the matter?" Sailor Jupiter asked, startled to see her friend with so much energy emitting from her. None of them had seen that in a long time.
"I've just thought of the perfect plan," Sailor Moon said excitedly. "But there's one problem."
"The plan can't be perfect if there's a problem," Sailor Uranus drawled.
Sailor Moon sighed and rolled her eyes. She was just bouncing with old energy. "See, I was thinking. To keep this world together why not freeze it over?"
They all became silent and stared at Sailor Moon in total shock and disbelief. That had been happening a lot lately, Sailor Moon thought, just a bit annoyed.
"What?" Sailor Mars exclaimed. "Your nuts! We can't just freeze the world over! That's crazy and impossible!"
"Nothing's impossible! I can use the Silver Crystal and freeze the world over. Preserve it until it's healed itself and we can awake again," Sailor Moon said hurriedly. She stopped jumping around and had a very serious expression on her face. "Everyone's lost so much. If only we can stop the pain and let everything disappear over time then we can live happy lives. With time the pain disappears, right? Let's freeze the world over and give everyone time."
Tuxedo Mask stood up and walked over to his love. He looked at her seriously. "Are you sure about this? It's crazy. What if we don't ever wake up?"
"We will. Eventually." Sailor Moon looked him full in the eyes, her trust and sincerity all there. "It's the only way. The future was born that way. If we don't freeze the world over, then this world will die. If we do, we'll preserve it and keep it the same until the earthquakes decide to stop and the tornadoes disappear. It's worth a shot, right?"
Sailor Jupiter stood up and nodded. "I with Sailor Moon. It does seem to be the only solution."
"Your all nuts," Sailor Uranus muttered but she stood up as well. "All right. Let's give it a shot." Sailor Neptune nodded and stood up as well.
Sailor Mars stood up with Sailor Mercury and Sailor Venus. Then Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn stood up. Sailor Callisto hesitated, the stood up as well.
"Thank you for believing me in this," Sailor Moon whispered as tears streamed down her face. Gratefulness and happiness shone clear in her beautiful blue eyes. "You guys are the best friends anyone can ask for." Tuxedo Mask held her close and protectively as she cried.
In Tokyo, Japan....
"Amelia?" Serena said as she walked in the her adopted daughter's room. "Amelia, are you awake?" She smiled as she found Amelia at the window with a teddy bear in her arms.
Amelia turned around and squealed with joy as she dropped the teddy bear and ran to her mother. She leaped into Serena's arms and hugged her tightly.
"Mommy Serena, I missed you so much. You wouldn't know it. Did you save the world already?" Amelia asked excitedly.
"I'm going to," Serena said quietly. She was a bit afraid of freezing the world over. It was very risky and she was afraid. It wasn't a very nice thought of falling asleep forever. But she had to do it since she needed to protect and preserve the world she lived in. She had lost her home up in the Moon, she wasn't going to lose it down on Earth.
"That's wonderful. You know, I had the strangest dream. This woman in a peach colored dress was standing at my bed. I knew right away that she was a good person. She called my Princess Amelia. Isn't that nice?" Amelia asked happily.
Serena walked over to the bed and sat down with Amelia. She held her close. "That wasn't a dream, Amelia. There was a woman in a peach dress that came to you and you are a princess. Amelia, did you know I'm the Princess of the Moon? Well, you see now that I'm going to adopt you your also a princess as well."
"Wow, that's wonderful!" Amelia exclaimed excitedly. Her gray eyes were filled with excitement as she looked at Serena and giggled. "Me! A princess. I never would think that would happen."
"Yes, isn't that wonderful?" Serena smiled as she pulled Amelia close and kissed the child tenderly on the forehead. "Amelia, I'm going to do something. I'm going to put everyone to sleep. Can you deal with that? In order to save the world I have to put everyone to sleep for a while to make sure that they'll live."
Amelia was quiet for a while. Then she nodded understandingly. "I understand. I'm okay with it. I have been doing a lot of sleeping lately."
"Thank you, Amelia, for understanding. That means a lot to me." Serena hugged the girl even tighter and smiled. "Let's go have some ice cream."
"Yeah!" Amelia cheered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Serena smoothed down the white dress she had decided to wear for her last waking moment. It was long, made of silk and satin with a lot of lace and went down to her ankles where she wore silk stockings and white slippers. Her golden hair was worn up in her usual odangos and had white silk ribbons wrapped around them and tied off in a small bow. She had on a little make up and her engagement ring winked at her in the bright sunlight.
"You look beautiful, Mommy Serena," Amelia said softly. She peeked out from behind Serena's skirts and smiled. She wore a soft pink dress with pink slippers and her brown hair tied up in the same odangos as Serena with pink velvet ribbons. But her hair wasn't long enough since it only stopped at her shoulders.
"Thank you. You look wonderful as well," Serena said, smiling. She lifted Amelia into her arms and held her close. "Don't we look beautiful together?"
"Yep," Amelia agreed, giggling.
"Here are my two princesses." Darien appeared dressed in a nice tuxedo with his shades on. He took them off and slid them into the front pocket of his jacket. "You two look beautiful."
"Thank you," the two girls chorused together.
"So, are you two ready?" Darien asked seriously but smiling for Amelia's benefit.
"Yep. We're ready, Daddy Darien," Amelia said, nodding.
Serena smiled warmly and handed Amelia over to Darien who took Amelia into his arms and tickled her. She giggled and wriggled in his hold.
"Then let's get this done," Darien said seriously as he looked at Serena. She nodded. "All right. Everyone's waiting outside."
Serena took a deep, shaky breath and nodded. She smiled weakly and brought out her Eternal Moon brooch. She raised and shouted, "Moon Eternal Power!" She whirled around and suddenly was in her Eternal Moon uniform. "There, all done. Let's go." She took Amelia back and followed Darien as they walked out of the mansion and out to the courtyard where everyone else was waiting for them in their uniform.
"All right. I guess this is the last time we're going to be awake in a long time," Sailor Moon said seriously. They all hugged each other tightly and wished each other luck. Then they all stood together in a circle. Amelia stood outside of the circle with her protector Sailor Callisto who wasn't going to participate since they really didn't need her power.
Sailor Moon looked at her friends and smiled. "Good luck."
"See you when we wake up," Sailor Mars said.
"We'll make it, don't worry," Sailor Venus said, smiling.
"Of course. We're the Sailor Scouts," Sailor Uranus said confidently.
"You've all worked very hard and you've made us proud, scouts," Luna said in a thick, emotion filled voice.
"Yeah. Everything you've done has made us proud," Artemis said, nodding. They were crying a bit as they watched the girls bravely make a decision that was very hard on all of them. They were all leaving their lives in the past while they sleep to the future. It wasn't an easy decision.
"Hey, see you guys when we awake," Sammy said, smiling bravely. His eyes on a slightly blushing Sailor Saturn.
"All right. Let's go," Tuxedo Mask said as he stared at each scout. His eyes landed on Sailor Moon and stayed there. She had so much confidence and love coming from her that everyone knew that they would make it.
They all took a deep breath and closed their eyes. They concentrated very hard and suddenly lit up with their aura colors. The wind picked up as the power gathered and concentrated. It got stronger and stronger as the minutes ticked by.
Suddenly bright energy exploded from Sailor Moon and she transformed in Princess Serenity. Then, one by one the scouts changed into their princess dresses as well. Each of their planetary symbol on their forehead. Tuxedo Mask changed to Prince Endymion.
Princess Serenity opened her eyes and broke her hold from the circle. She raised her arms and suddenly the Imperium Silver Crystal appeared in her hands. She held up it as the power emitted from it powerfully. As the Silver Crystal showed itself the rest of the princesses brought out their own crystals from their own planets. Then Prince Endymion brought out his own Imperium Golden Crystal.
All of them stood, holding up their crystals as they focused the power together to create a strong vortex of energy.
"Mercury Eternal Power!"
"Mars Eternal Power!"
"Jupiter Eternal Power!"
"Venus Eternal Power!"
"Neptune Eternal Power!"
"Uranus Eternal Power!"
"Pluto Eternal Power!"
"Saturn Eternal Power!"
"Moon Eternal Crystal Power!"
They all burst into a glory of power as their energy flew up into the sky and mixed together. The wind was blowing incredibly strong as the powers mixed and formed
something so much more stronger than they had ever used before.
"Planet Ice Slumber!!!" They all shouted together, their voices chorused strongly together as they called for their power.
An incredible white beam exploded from the ball of power that floated above the scouts. Then it plunged down with impossible strength and speed and spread its power all over the world. Slowly everyone on Earth fell into a deep slumber as the power washed
over them. Then it circled and did another sweep, freezing the world over.
The crystals returned to their sleeping owners who now lay in a circle with their feet touching each others. Dressed in their beautiful princess gowns and looking as regal as queens. All of them were at peace, satisfied at with they had done without a single regret. Sailor Callisto, Princess Amelia, Luna, Artemis and Sammy were sleeping side by side, only a few feet away from the others. They were all encased in crystal clear ice as it came over them before they truly realized what was going on.
All the earthquakes stopped, the tornadoes disappeared. The toxic and pollution froze and stopped its harmful ravage of the world. Every terrible thing across the world stopped and disappeared. But the damage that was done didn't. It would have to heal over time.
In the end, Earth was only a ball of ice, waiting to be awaken in the far future.
