Chapter 10
A New Guardian Warrior
"I can't believe it's started again," Serena shouted angrily. She stood up and banged her fist into the wall. They were all assembled in the large den of Amy's mansion and staring at the television set which had just told them that earthquakes had begun again, tornadoes were starting up and the toxic waste and pollution was shooting up at an unbelievable high. It just wasn't possible. It had stopped for two weeks. Now I was starting up again? Serena wanted to throw the remote at the TV and curse the whole world.
It wasn't fair. She had already lost her parents. Wasn't that enough? No, Mother Nature had to start up her destruction again. Anger burned inside of Serena.
"Calm down, Serena," Raye snapped in her all mighty way. "All of us are annoyed at it as well."
"Raye, I really don't want to get into an argument with you right now," Serena said quietly. Her fists were clenched tightly at her sides as she stood against the fireplace.
"It's all right. We'll just deal with it again," Lita said soothingly.
"No!" Serena said angrily. "It's never going to end. It's going to keep on going till this Earth is nothing but torn up land and cracked up earth. It's not going to stop. How can we keep this world together without destroying it? Our powers are strong but can we keep going on like this?"
"She's right," Darien agreed. "We can't keep fighting like this. We'll exhaust our power before we know it."
"Then what can we do?" Corinne asked, anger and annoyance at not knowing what to do showed clear in her voice. "It's not like this is going to stop if we wished it to."
"There's got to be some way to stop all of this. We have the power, right? We can think of something," Nerissa persisted, a worried expression her elegant face. "We just have to think of a solution."
"World endings are a bit difficult," Mina said with a helpless expression.
"This such crap," Serena muttered. She closed her eyes and sighed as she slid down to the ground and sat there. She looked out the window where it was raining hard again. It had been raining a lot lately. Almost nonstop. "Do you think there will be a flood?"
Everyone but Jennifer looked out the window and shook their heads.
"Don't know," Lita said.
"It could be possible," Amy said, she seemed to be calculating the possibilities in her head.
Helen looked very tired as she looked out the window. "Nothing's going right. No matter what we do something bad always happens." She sighed and dropped her head slightly. She was a bit tired just from saying two simple sentence.
Jennifer had a strange expression her face as she continued to watch Serena and her expressions. She was afraid for her princess and future queen. Serena had to remain pure and it wouldn't be do any one good if she suddenly became dark and lost the good, thoughtful heart of hers.
Serena stood up and smoothed down her dark olive green pants and adjusted her white sweater. She pushed back her long hair and looked at her friends with dead eyes. "Let's get this show on the road. We have an apocalypse to stop."
They all looked at Serena with worry and a bit of fear in their hearts. Darien was especially worried. Serena was never like this. She was always sweet and full of life. Now she seemed to have no more joy or life in her. They always had depended on her for that and now it was gone. It gave them the chills. It was always impossible to stop Serena and her good heart from doing what she thought right and not really thinking about what might happen to her. Now they couldn't even find a single trace of that Serena they loved so much.
"Moon Eternal Power!" Serena whirled around as power engulfed her and she transformed into Eternal Sailor Moon. She brought out her Eternal Moon Tier immediately and flipped it around as it changed into a staff.
"Mercury Crystal Power!"
"Mars Crystal Power!"
"Jupiter Crystal Power!"
"Venus Crystal Power!"
"Neptune Crystal Power!"
"Uranus Crystal Power!"
"Pluto Crystal Power!"
"Saturn Crystal Power!"
The girls finished transforming and stood there in their super form. Darien stood in his Tuxedo Mask uniform, a red rose in his hand.
Luna and Artemis walked in and blinked in surprise.
"Why have you all transformed?" Luna asked, a bit startled.
"Yeah, what's going on?" Artemis asked.
Sailor Moon walked over to Luna and Artemis and bent down to them. "The world's starting to break up again. We're going to go and try to save the world, again. See you two later. Okay?" She smiled slightly and kissed them both on the forehead. Then she stood up and walked back to the others. Sailor Venus said good bye as well and then joined them.
They all joined hands and concentrated. After a few moments, the power began to build up and spin around them. Then they disappeared.
"Again. Do you think they'll ever rest, Artemis?" Luna asked her partner.
"I don't know," Artemis admitted.
Luna sighed heavily and walked out of the den with Artemis. They headed for the kitchen to have dinner.

Queen Serenity watched as her daughter, Princess Serenity and her scouts disappeared all over the world to deal with the problems there. Queen Serenity was worried that her daughter would lose all the light inside of her. So many things had happened to the princess and those were things that turned anyone against the light. That was something that couldn't happen to Princess Serenity. She had to stay pure and good. It was the only way she could rule as a good queen in the future.
What are they going to do? When will they realize that there was only one solution to this problem? Queen Serenity sat in another world, watching her daughter through a small pond in the paradise she now rested in. Of course she sometimes left the paradise to help her daughter.
"Queen Serenity, what's the matter?" Sailor Callisto asked.
Queen Serenity looked up and smiled at the scout who had been dead since the Sailor Wars. "Hello, Sailor Callisto. How have you been?"
"Fine. But your worried," Sailor Callisto said. She sat down beside Queen Serenity and smiled a worried smile. "What's happened to Princess Serenity?"
"She has just lost her Earth parents and she's lost the light inside of her," Queen Serenity said seriously.
Sailor Callisto looked into the pool of water and frowned. "She has, has she? That's not right. She's suppose to maintain that light."
"It is hard to lose one's parents. I just hope it's only temporary."
"I wish I could help," Sailor Callisto sighed. "But what can a dead scout do? I've been dead for a long time."
"But you will return soon," Queen Serenity said, smiling.
"Someday. In the very far future. Galaxia really damaged my soul very badly when she took it from me. Now that it has been returned it barely changed the fact that I still must rest."
"Not if there's some kind of help," Queen Serenity said quietly.
Sailor Callisto looked at Queen Serenity and smiled a sad smile. "Serenity, what kind of power can heal my soul?"
"Your the mysterious scout of the Four Moons. Surely there's some kind of power that will help your soul heal itself."
"But what is the point? My kingdom no longer exists. Your daughter doesn't need any more protection. I have no reason to be reborn," Sailor Callisto protested.
Queen Serenity was silent for a moment. Then she looked at Sailor Callisto and smiled her trademark sad smile. "There is a reason." She waved her hand over the pool of water and the image of Amelia de Leon appeared. "This little girl is going to be my daughter's adopted child. She needs to have a protector. The other scouts have to protect their princess but who will protect this little child?"
"I would love the protect this child, Queen Serenity, but my soul," Sailor Callisto said softly, "it is far too damaged. I'm sorry but I don't have the power to protect this child."
"No, I can send you down. I have the power. I will heal your soul and send you back down as an adult to protect this child. She is dear to my daughter and I don't want anything bad to happen to her," Queen Serenity said in a solemn voice. "Will you accept the duty of protecting this child?"
Sailor Callisto looked at Queen Serenity for a moment. Her expression showed that she was in very deep thought. Then she looked down briefly and back up at Queen Serenity. "I accept."
Queen Serenity smiled and touched Sailor Callisto on the forehead. Suddenly her planetary symbol appeared on her forehead and she glowered a soft peach color. Then she disappeared. Queen Serenity sighed wearily as she watched from her pool of water as Sailor Callisto was healed and then sent down the Earth.
Settling back, Queen Serenity hoped for the best.

Sailor Callisto appeared inside of the child's room dressed in a peach colored dress with two thin ribbons coming down the back. She had only short white gloves and peach satin slippers. Her silver hair was swept up in a bun with tendrils of hair hanging down. She looked down at herself and marveled. It had been so long. She hugged herself and laughed silently as she danced around the room happily. She was alive again.
Then she stopped herself and looked at the child laying on the bed. She was fast asleep. A beautiful child with nice looking brown hair. She had rosy cheeks and a pink rosebud mouth. No wonder Princess Serenity loved this child. She was so adorable and innocent.
What's my name? Sailor Callisto wondered. And then something whispered to her. Harmony Kishiru. That was her name. She smiled faintly and walked over to the bed and sat down beside the child. She reached out and brushed back the brown hair. She was to protect this child now. It was her duty. She had promised.
Where was Princess Serenity? Harmony wondered. She stood up and frowned. Why was the princess not there? She couldn't feel her presence.
"Who are you?" A shrill voice demanded.
"What are you doing here?" A male voice shouted.
Harmony started and whirled around. She gasped when she saw two cats standing at the door way of the room, ready to attack. It took a while but she recognized them. Slowly, she walked forward and smiled as she held out her gloved hand tentatively.
"Luna? Artemis? Don't you recognize me?" Harmony asked fearfully. She remembered them from the past when she fought in the Sailor Wars. Now she was seeing them again. It was a bit overwhelming to see her old friends. How am I going to react when I finally meet Princess Serenity and the others? Harmony almost laughed at herself.
"Who are you?" Luna asked angrily. "How do you know our names? Tell us!"
Harmony stepped back in shock. They didn't remember her. Of course not, it had been so long. "No, Luna. It's me, Sailor Callisto. Remember? I'm the Princess of Callisto Moon of this galaxy. Don't you remember? From the Sailor Wars."
"The Sailor Wars?" Artemis repeated.
"Sailor Wars?" Luna whispered. They both shook their heads. "I'm sorry but when we've lost our memories along the years. We don't remember you at all."
Harmony was a bit hurt but she understood. "Of course. It has been a long time. I'm here to protect Princess Amelia."
"Princess Amelia?!" Luna and Artemis exclaimed together.
Harmony smiled in amusement. "Of course. Princess Serenity is adopting the child and that makes her a princess as well. She needs a protector so Queen Serenity sent be to be her guardian."
"One day we've got to have a private chat with our queen," Artemis muttered. Luna nodded in agreement.
"Where is Princess Serenity?" Harmony asked.
"They've left to defend the world," Luna replied.
"From what?" Harmony asked, alarmed.
"The world is coming apart and they're trying to slow and stop the effects," Artemis explained.
"An apocalypse?" Harmony whispered, becoming a bit pale. She pulled out her transformation stick and smiled slightly. It felt good to have it again. "Callisto Moon Star Power!" She leaped into the air and spun around. Then she rolled into a ball and landed easily on her feet and she was in a Sailor Scout uniform. It was like any other basic uniform except her skirt was a light peach color and the bow in the front was a darker peach and the back bow was white with two long tails. She had on a tiara with a opal in the center and short peach boots.
"Your are Sailor Callisto," Luna said in slight awe as she stared at the new scout.
"Of course. But right now I've got to go help Princess Serenity and the other scouts," Sailor Callisto said. She turned back to the child and kissed her in the forehead. "I'm sorry I can't stay to guard her but I have to help the princess." Then she closed her eyes and disappeared.
