Chapter 2
Wufei was up before he was even awake. He opened his eyes and took in the familiar surroundings of the underground room where he and his fathers rested in with their coffins. He slowly got out of his own white coffin and waited as his father Zechs got up as well. Treize was already gone and probably in the library reading some old novel.
"Night already? Wonderful," Zechs murmured as he got out and ran his fingers through his long hair. He smiled at Wufei and they left the room together, making sure the lock the heavy door before going up the steps to the main floor of the mansion they were currently residing in. Every few decades or so they would move to another house so it didn't get boring.
They entered the library and sure enough Treize was reclining easily on a soft velvet chair reading from an old book by firelight. His vampire eyes could easily see the lettering with no help from the light but it was always fun to try and imitate mortal life.
Wufei walked over to his sire and kissed him on the cheek. "Good evening, Treize."
"Good evening, Wufei. Had a good day's sleep?" Treize asked as he took his attention off the book to smile at his child.
Zechs walked over to them and sat down in a chair across from Treize. "I feel restless."
"You're always feeling restless, Zechs," Wufei said as he sat down on the floor beside Treize's legs. He rested against his father's long, strong legs and smiled at his other father. Treize and Zechs had made him over three hundred years ago in China while he and the Chinese circus he'd been traveling with stopped in a small town that Treize and Zechs happened to be currently visiting. He had been performing a pretty complicated stunt when he spotted them, foreigners among the crowds of Chinese people. He had almost lost his concentration but he got it back and pulled off the trick without any more trouble.
After the performance they had searched him out in the cheap hotel he had been staying in with the rest of the circus. He had been ignorant and only fifteen when he had been lured away from his people into a dark alley. They had amazed him because he had never seen foreigners before. Their pale skin, clear eyes and light colored hair had enchanted him, so different from the usual obsidian eyes and black hair of the Chinese people. It was only the moment before they drank from him did he realize that he had done something very stupid. Of course, it was already too late and they made him into one of them.
They took all his possessions from his room while he was half unconscious and going through the strange change of mortal to vampire during that time. When he became completely vampire, they gave him a mortal to drink from before spiriting him away from the little town forever. After that, he lived a life of luxury and freedom with his new family. They traveled everywhere and anywhere, meeting all sorts of people and going to all sorts of productions.
Treize had been an educated Russian man during his lifetime as a mortal and it stuck with him. He was determined to teach Wufei everything he needed to know to travel the world at ease. And Wufei loved it. He loved learning the histories of different countries, the languages, how to paint with that eerie vampire skill, to be able to learn from everything around him.
Zechs, on the other hand, wanted Wufei to master his vampire skills and continuously took the Chinese boy out to hunt and learn how to seduce and play with mortals. To be able to blend easily into a crowd and read minds without trouble. He hadn' t been strong enough to match Zechs' expertise in the beginning but he pleased his father and his power continued to grow at an unnatural speed for vampires.
His life was good and happy as a vampire. The only thing he missed was the warmth of the sun against his skin. He had lost his bronze coloring to the usual snow pale skin that all vampires had after three hundred years of living and hunting as a vampire.
"Well, what will we do?" Zechs asked, interrupting Wufei's musings of the past. "I want to do something aside from hunting." His blue-green eyes took in a strange glint. "What about going to those mortal clubs? I've gotten tired of going to vampire ones."
"Sounds like a good idea," Treize agreed as he closed his book and set it down on the small table at his left. Then he stood up, bringing Wufei to his feet as well. "Let's go get dressed and go to these mortal clubs. I do miss the crush of mortal flesh against me."
Wufei smiled, his obsidian eyes sparkling as he thought about the thrill of being among mortals and knowing that they would never guess what he truly was. The secrecy was a rush to the head for him.
He slid out of Treize's hold and walked over to Zechs. "Come on." He slid his hand into Zechs' hand and they quickly left the room to get dressed.

"What are we doing here, Duo?" Quatre hissed as he stared at the teenagers and adults packed into the club that Duo had dragged him to. "I thought we were going to your house!"
"Did I? I meant the club," Duo said insincerely.
"Duo!" Quatre exclaimed almost mournfully. "I need to study--"
"Quatre, it's a Friday. Loosen up," Duo ordered as he grabbed his friend and dragged him over to a vacant booth and sat him down. "Stay here, save this booth while I go get something for us to drink."
"No alcohol," Quatre said sharply. "It's bad for think--"
"Ah, just sit there," Duo said, waving his friend off as he disappeared into the push and shove crowd of the club. He pushed and shoved as hard as they pushed and shoved him while he made his way to the circular bar in the center of the club. He finally reached it and collapsed against the counter, struggling to catch his breath.
"So, what do you want?" the bartender asked roughly.
"Oh, a two cokes," Duo said, smiling as he slid the bartender some money.
The bartender nodded and poured some coke into two tall glasses. But Duo watched as he added just a little bit of alcohol as well. Duo grinned at the guy and said his thanks as he took the two glasses and made his way back over to Quatre without spilling a single drop.
"All right, here ya go," Duo said dropping down across from Quatre with the drinks.
"There isn't any alcohol in it, right?" Quatre asked as he eyed the drink suspiciously.
"No alcohol," Duo lied, shaking his head while crossing his fingers under the table.
"Good." Quatre lifted the glass to his lips and took a quick sip. "What are we going to do here?"
"Dance, drink coke, the usual," Duo said as he swallowed half of his own drink.
Quatre took another sip.

Wufei walked into the club with Treize on his right and Zechs at his left. He was always in the middle, it had been like that for as long as he could remember.
Zechs sighed inaudibly as he scanned the crowd of mortals moving together to the harsh beat of the song blaring from the speakers. *Ah, this place is absolutely filled with mortals.*
Wufei nodded as he felt his own mouth water with anticipation of luring one of these mortals out into a dark alley and draining them all of their life's blood. To taste that thick, sweet ambrosia on his tongue before sliding down his throat and spreading out through his cold body, warming it into a delicate flush. His heart quickened its beat as he looked for someone to take. Last night it had been a handsome young man, possibly he would take a young plump girl this time.
He took a deep shaky breath, his body throbbing for that first delicious taste of blood. He was hungry.
Beside him Zechs was almost purring from the want and desire of taking a mortal into his arms and drinking from him or her. Treize, as usual, was calm, collected and almost serene but even Wufei could see that he wanted that first blood of the night as well. What vampire wouldn't want a warm little mortal in their arms to drain? To sift through the many memories of the mortal and learn from them. Sure, there was almost a bit of guilt but it usually passed. Vampires had to learn how to let go of certain emotions in order to survive. One of them was feeling guilty when killing. Did mortals feel guilty when they slaughtered another cow or pig for their dinner? No, so why should a vampire feel guilty? And tonight, since they were in a club, they might just glut themselves with blood. There were so many people to take from.
*Come, Treize. Let's go dance,* Zechs whispered. He held out his hand to his lover and they disappeared into the crowd to leave Wufei to his own fun.
Wufei smoothed back his silky hair, which he had left down tonight, and scanned the sweaty crowd for someone who would like to die tonight. He was almost disappointed until he spotted Duo Maxwell near the back of the club with a yummy little blonde sitting across from him. Wufei's lower stomach muscles tightened from the desire to drink from the boy who wanted death so much. His loins were burning and his heart drummed almost painfully. He came close to moaning out loud. Treize and Zechs would allow him to have a mortal for a little while as long as he promised not to hurt him or drive him insane like that last mortal.
Smiling predatorily, Wufei made his way towards the alluring mortal.
