Duo Maxwell watched in boredom as people came in and out of his club, Death's Haven, each and everyone of them not even coming close to catching his eye. All of the good ones were taken--and he just didn't do affairs--and the others didn't even measure up to his scale. Pity. He had played with the rest already and he didn't think they would like to be played with again. Besides, he didn't want to deal with weepy or angry ex-lovers.
He sipped at his drink and sighed softly. Not a single good-looking, drop dead gorgeous guy to play into his hands. He got plenty of looks, but then who wouldn't thrown a glance at him? He was dressed in a black silk shirt with the first few buttons undone to reveal his smooth chest, comfortable black pants with a china hanging from the belt loops and black boots. His long chestnut brown hair was braided down his back and his long bangs brushed his violet eyes that always seem to shine with mischief and naughty promises to anyone who caught his eye.
Lustful looks were thrown his way and he accepted them with a charming flashing of his teeth but then he would continue scanning the crowd. Tonight's crowd wasn't as wonderful as last night's but that was all right. Maybe tomorrow night.
When he was about to give up when a vision of beauty, innocence and sweetness appeared among the crowd of suddenly drab looking people. His long black hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail and his dark, glittering eyes scanned suspiciously at the crowd. He was dressed in a white dress shirt with khakis colored pants with black shoes.
Suddenly he was pushed forward by an amused looking Japanese man. The vision glared at his companion but complied and started moving. They both looked around before spotting an empty table at the corner of the room. Duo watched as they walked over to it and sat down. They talked for a moment before the Japanese man stood up and moved towards the bar.
The Chinese man sat there, staring at his napkin and totally oblivious to the many appraising looks thrown his way. Duo watched in amusement as dozens of men glared at each other before one of them decided to make the move.
<Hmm...I wonder what's going to happen,> Duo mused as he sipped his glass of brandy and watched.

Chang Wufei sighed as he played and tore at the napkin between his fingers. He had no idea how Heero had convinced him to come out tonight but the Japanese man had managed it so here he was. He didn't want to come out, he had wanted to stay home and sulk after being dumped by his last boyfriend Treize Khushrenada. He didn't love Treize but he still liked him and it hurt that the man had dumped him for Zechs Merquise, the handsome blond millionaire. <Ah, rejected for a man richer than me by a few million.> He knew that Treize hadn't dumped him for money but it would have been nicer if it was true. But Treize had actually liked the Merquise man.
Wufei was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't hear the tall red head that had came up behind him until the man suddenly appeared in his line of vision wearing a cheesy smile that was a tad on the sick and perverted side.
"Well, hello, sweety," the red head purred.
Wufei swallowed hard and wished Heero was here to scare the man away. He had only recently dated as a gay since he had been "straight" for 20 years of his life until he realized kissing was suppose to feel nice. Heero one the other hand had more experience in this sort of thing.
<Go away, go away, go away,> Wufei silently pleaded. He didn't want to deal with this.
"So, here alone?" the man continued in what he thought was a sexy voice.
"Ah, no. I'm here with someone," Wufei managed to say without sounding like a wuss. He only needed to get used to being around men like this. Treize had been his first boyfriend and they had never went past passionate kisses.
"Not right now, you aren't," the man pointed out.
"He'll be back," Wufei said.
"Well, until then..." the man said suggestively.
"Back off shithead. He's with me," a deep voice growled from behind Wufei.
Wufei breathed a mental sigh of relief.
The red head was about to challenge the Japanese man when he noticed the gun hidden in Heero's coat. Then he quickly stood up and fled.
Wufei smiled and watched as his trigger-happy friend walked around and sit down across from him with two glasses of alcohol, one wine and he other beer.
"I can't believe you got that in here," the Chinese man said quietly as he took his beer.
"It's not that hard," Heero said nonchalantly.
"Why do you even have it?"
"Habit."
"Heero, you're not a body guard anymore," Wufei sighed as he took a sip of his drink.
"Like I said. Habit."
Wufei rolled his eyes and smiled as he swallowed some more of the cold beer.

Duo watched as the man sat down with his drinks. He hoped those two weren't together. It'd be very wrong. The Chinese man was very, very alluring and Duo was already entertaining very erotic thoughts that starred that Chinese man exclusively.
"And who is it now, Duo?" a soft voice asked behind him.
Duo turned around and smiled at his friend Quatre Raberba Winner standing behind him with his boyfriend Trowa Barton behind him.
"Hello, Quatre. Trowa," he said pleasantly. "I didn't think you'd make an appearance tonight."
"You know we can't stay away, Duo," Trowa said teasingly.
"I love you too, Trowa," Duo laughed.
"It's nice to be loved," Quatre agreed. He looked past Duo and raised an eyebrow when he saw the two Asians chatting quietly with each other. "Chang Wufei? What's he doing here? And isn't that his body guard Heero Yuy?"
"You know them?" Duo asked, delighted to discover the name of the pretty Chinese man.
"Who wouldn't? Chang is one of the richest Chinese men in America with companies here, New York, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and England," Trowa explained as he wrapped an arm around his blonde lover and leaned against him. "He's a very successful man. Last I heard he and his boyfriend Treize Khushrenada had broken it off. Khushrenada went with Zechs Merquise."
Quatre looked thoughtful. "Aren't we doing business with them, Trowa?"
"Maybe. We have too many associates, Quatre," Trowa said.
Quatre just shrugged.
"Hmm...So he's single," Duo murmured.
"Oh, don't--Duo, he's one of the most hardest men to actually date or even talk to. That body guard doesn't let anyone come close and Treize is Chang's first boyfriend. He doesn't date lightly," Quatre warned.
Duo shot Quatre a devious smile. "Who said?"
"You really don't think you can..."
"Quatre, how dare you doubt me."
"Fine, if you're sure let's make a deal. $500 says you can't get a date with him," Quatre challenged.
Duo grinned and nodded slowly. "All right. If you really think so, you have a deal." He held out his hand and they took hands. "Do you want to kiss on that as well?"
"Don't you dare," Trowa said as he held Quatre possessively.
Duo smiled innocently and turned his attention back to Wufei. <Quatre's underestimating me. I'll win this bet.> He turned to the blonde and his smile widened. "What if we make this a little more challenging, shall we?"
"What do you propose?" Quatre asked curiously.
"I have Wufei in my bed by Valentine's Day or you win."
Quatre laughed. "Deal. But I believe you're going to fail. No way will you get Wufei in two weeks. That man is ice."
"Ice can always melt," Duo purred. He smiled and took another sip of his drink.
