Epilogue
A few years later...
"Hong Fa! [1]" Wufei shouted as he grabbed his son Gabriel and helped him into his jacket. "Get out here and eat your breakfast! Your brother's already done with his!"
"He's always done first," Hong Fa complained as she appeared in her school clothing. "Papa, I can't get these laces right!"
"Get Daddy to do them," Wufei said as he tried to button his son's jacket over to have Gabriel twist and try to pull away. "Gabriel, stop squirming. You're giving Papa a hard time."
"I don't want to go to school," Gabriel complained.
Wufei sighed and stared at his son. "Why not?"
"..."
"Gabriel..."
"There's this boy at school and he teases me," Gabriel said, pouting.
"Duo!" Wufei shouted as he picked up his 5-year-old son and walked up the stairs to their bedroom where his husband was still sound asleep. "Duo, get up!"
"I don't want to get up," Duo exclaimed sleepily.
"If Daddy doesn't get up, I don't go to school," Hong Fa said, crossing her arms as she stood behind Wufei. The 7-year-old had her long black hair swept back in a long braid and her light gray eyes were defiant.
<I don't know how the hell we adopted children who are so like Duo. Why couldn't they be more like me?> Wufei wondered as he walked over to his husband and shook him awake. Duo moaned and was half way opening his eyes when Wufei dropped Gabriel on top of him. "Take care of Gabriel. I have to take Hong Fa to school early today. She has this project or something like that."
"I made a volcano! And Uncle Heero helped me make it work," Hong Fa said proudly.
Duo blinked and stared at his laughing son who was currently jumping up and down on his chest.
"Heero helped?" Wufei asked, turning to regard his daughter with a surprised expression.
Hong Fa grinned and nodded. "It goes BOOM! And then all this red stuff pours out."
"I told you we shouldn't have left them with Heero that day," Duo groaned as he lifted Gabriel off his chest. He was wheezing a bit.
"Don't worry. I think Heero was perfectly aware that was for a child's science fair," Wufei said weakly as he grabbed Hong Fa's hand and began to pull her out of the room. "Where is the project?"
"In my room," Hong Fa said as she rushed forward to get her project. She cried out and tripped on her laces.
"Hong Fa!" Wufei sighed and walked over to pick up his daughter. He sat down on the carpet in the hall and pulled her into his lap. Then he reached out and began to tie her laces. "You've got to learn how to do this someday."
"I will. But why can't I wear shoes like you, Papa?" Hong Fa asked, referring to the Chinese slippers Wufei occasionally wore around the house.
"Because, love, they're not for school. Now go get your project and wait in the car. I'm driving you today since Philip is out sick," Wufei said as he lifted his daughter and set her on her way.
Hong Fa nodded and ran off, this time her laces were tied so there were no chances of tripping.
Wufei stood up and walked back into the room where Duo was just getting out of bed and Gabriel was taking off his jacket.
"Duo! Why is Gabriel taking off his jacket?" he demanded as he knelt down beside his son and tried to get the jacket back on.
"I don't want to go to school!" Gabriel wailed. "The boy makes fun of me!!"
"Why does he make fun of you?" Wufei asked patiently as he buttoned Gabriel's jacket--again.
Gabriel went quiet.
"Gabriel..."
"Listen to Papa, Gabriel, and Daddy will get you ice cream after school," Duo yawned as he stumbled into the bathroom.
"Yea!"
"Duo!" Wufei shouted in dismay. "Don't make promises like that!"
"Why not?" was the reply.
"Ice cream is bad for him!"
"Aw, Wufei, stop being a stiff."
Wufei rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to his son. "Now why does this boy make fun of you?"
"He says I'm weird because I have two daddys," Gabriel said, sniffing.
<Stupid bigot assholic boy,> Wufei thought angrily as he straightened Gabriel's jacket and gave his son a warm kiss on the cheek.
"Don't listen to him, Gabriel. He's just being a bully," he said quietly. He knew some poeple were still uncomfortable with the fact that he was married to Duo and that their adopted children were attending their school. It had been a big shock when they got married and it took a very, very long time before things blew over. During that time it had been very difficult but all their friends had supported them and soon it was nothing and life went on.
"I know, Papa," Gabriel said, shrugging. Then he smiled and wrapped his arms around his father's neck and gave him a tight hug.
Duo appeared with a toothbrush in his mouth and grinned at Wufei before disappearing back into the bathroom.
Wufei smiled and hugged his son back. "Now, Daddy's going to take you to school. And don't eat any ice cream or sweets, do you hear me?"
"Yes, Papa," Gabriel said, nodding.
"Good boy," Wufei said as he kissed his son again, although he knew perfectly well that Duo was going to give Gabriel sweets anyway and Gabriel was going to eat them no matter what he said. He left the room and went downstairs to the front drive way where Hong Fa was waiting in the car with the small model volcano on her lap.
He got into the car and turned on the ignition. He smiled at his daughter before he started the car up and drove to the local elementary private school.

"This day has been exhausting," Wufei moaned as he collapsed onto the bed and closed his eyes. He was so tired. All day he had been moving around trying to get things done as the company made some deals with a business from Japan. Heero had been there to translate everything and Wufei was very grateful to his friend for helping him. He would have never found a translater in time.
"Ah, well, at least Hong Fa and Gabriel decided to behave tonight. They took a bath and went to bed without a single complaint. Except Gabriel demanded a bedtime story," Duo said as he fell into bed beside his husband and pulled him close. He nuzzled Wufei's neck and smiled as he buried his face in the warm flesh. "Mmm...I bet you taste wonderful right now."
"We just had dinner, Maxwell," Wufei murmured sleepily.
"So?"
"I thought food made you sleepy."
"Nu-uh, it just gives me more energy," Duo purred as he wrapped his leg around Wufei's body and pulled him even closer.
"Duo...not now. I'm tired," Wufei complained even as the area between his legs suddenly became very warm.
"But I want to Wufei," Duo moaned.
"I'm tired...Ah! Duo...noo...Not...oooh...That feels nice," Wufei murmured as he trembled slightly from Duo's slow movements.
"I know what you like, Fei. Now, are you still tired?" Duo asked with a mischeviously sparkle in his deep violet eyes.
"Actually...Not really," Wufei breathed. "You really know how to keep a man up, Duo."
Duo chuckled and kissed Wufei before he continued.

Early the next morning...
"Duo! Wake up!"
"Gabriel! Don't take off your jacket."
"Hong Fa! Oh, don't--No! Damnit, Duo clean up that mess Hong Fa made!"
"Daddy cursed!"
Gabriel laughed and nodded in agreement with his sister.
Duo sighed as he grabbed the towel and began to wipe up the mess Hong Fa had made when she dropped her juice.
"Don't you just love this, Fei?" Duo asked as he straightened and grinned at his husband.
"It's marvelous. Now help Hong Fa tie her shoe laces."
"Yes, Wufei."
"Gabriel! Didn't I tell you NOT to take off your jacket? I swear, all of you are going to be the end of me!"
