Love in Chains, the Wedding

Notes: Ah! The Wedding Chapter! I hope I did this right...

Epilogue

"I will not!" Duo shouted angrily as he stomped away from a scowling Wufei. Duo swung around, his braid whistling as it cut through the crisp morning air, and regarded his future husband coldly. "If you make me I swear I'll run away!" His violet eyes flashed threateningly.

"Again?" Wufei sighed as he rubbed away a soon-to-be migraine.

"Yes! Again, Lord Chang!" Duo snapped.

"Duo, you have to do this. It's the only way," Wufei pleaded. "If we want to get married it just has to be this way."

"NO! How many times do I have to say it?? No! Nonononono! I refuse to do it! Why don't YOU do it?" Duo demanded, as he gestured wildly with his arms. He was seriously pissed off. Never in his life had he been so humiliated before! Him! Duo Maxwell! Gods forbid the day that happens!

"Because I can't! As the Lord of the Chang family clan I can't! It isn't right," Wufei explained reasonably as he tried to calm down his beloved. "It'll only be for a little while, Duo. Please. If you truly want this marriage to happen, just do it."

"Wufei," Duo said slowly as he walked over to his beautiful fiancé. "If you fear for your life, you won't make me do this!" His hands were closed into tight fists, aching for something--or someone--to strangle.

"Duo!" Wufei growled. "You have to!"

"No!"

"Duo!"

"Argh!"

"Aaah!"

*THUMP*

Meiren blinked as she passed by Wufei's room with a basket of decorations in her arms. Sally bumped into her while carrying several robes and silks needed for the wedding.

"Meiren! What are you doing?"

"They're still fighting," Meiren said nonchalantly as she continued to walk.

"They haven't killed each other yet?" Sally asked in disbelief.

"Nope," Meiren said, shaking her head, causing her silky pigtails to brush against her skin.

"Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with that Englishman boy. Dressing up as the bride isn't all THAT bad," Sally huffed as she continued to try and navigate her way with the piles of robes in front of her.

"I know! He's already feminine looking as it is!" Meiren agreed.

Both young ladies laughed before they went to the main hall where the decorations for the wedding were still under way.

Heero and Trowa were walking to Wufei's room when the doors were suddenly thrown open and a seriously harassed looking Wufei stomped out of it. He saw Heero and Trowa and glared at them.

"He's insane! I don't know what I thought I saw in him!" Then the Chinese noble whirled around and marched off, muttering under his breath about crazy Englishman's and braids.

Duo then appeared, his clothes mussed up and his hair unraveled.

"He's crazy! Does he TRULY expect me to dress up as the BRIDE?!" He shrieked before running off in the other direction.

Heero blinked and looked at his beloved.

"Um, I don't think we should ask them if they wanted to have the Shen family over just yet," Heero said, looking after Wufei.

Trowa nodded silently in agreement as he laced his fingers with Heero's. Then he turned and looked Heero in the eye.

"You wouldn't make me the bride, would you?" He asked seriously.

Heero smirked. "Maybe."

*BOP*

"Itai!"

~*~

"Zhe Tian! Zhe Tian!" Meiren shouted as she flew into her fiancé's room.

"Meiren! We're not suppose to see each other yet!" Zhe Tian gasped as his beloved appeared suddenly in his room.

"Zhe Tian! My brother and his lover aren't speaking to each other! What do I do?" Meiren asked frantically. "I don't want them to cancel their wedding!"

Zhe Tian sighed. He loved Meiren but her family was another matter. "Come here, Meiren."

Meiren walked over to Zhe Tian and plopped herself in his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"They love each other. I don't think they're going to cancel the wedding. They're just going through some difficulties right now. Don't worry about it. I bet it'll be smoothed over by the time it's the wedding day," Zhe Tian said soothingly.

"You think so?"

"Yes."

"Good. I don't want anything to happen. And if it does, it's you're fault for making me hope!" Meiren said, glaring and wagging her finger at her fiancé.

Zhe Tian sighed and laughed. "Yes, Meiren."

~*~

"That's it! I can't take it anymore!" Duo shouted as he threw his clothes on the floor. "I'm not marrying you!"

"What?! You're kidding me!" Wufei exclaimed indignantly.

It was another day and another argument.

"What do you think you're trying to do? Exchanging my clothes for women's clothing! Dishonorable!" Duo raged as he shook his fist in Wufei's face.

"It's not dishonorable! I'm only trying to convince you that you're the perfect bride," Wufei said in his frustratingly serene tone.

"HA!" Duo picked up the clothes and threw it at Wufei's chest. "You wear them! 'Cause I certainly am NOT!" Then he turned and ran out of the room in only his pajamas.

Wufei closed his eyes and sighed.

~*~

"Injustice, Heero! It's simply injustice!" Wufei shouted as he paced back and forth in his best friend's room.

"What's injustice, Wufei?" Heero asked with mild amusement as he poured himself a cup of tea and tried to read his books.

"Duo! He won't marry me because he doesn't want to be the bride! What justice is that if a man can't marry because his bride won't wear what is asked of him!" Wufei demanded as he gestured wildly.

Heero was a bit worried his friend might knock something over. *Trowa. Where are you?* He cursed Trowa having to walk off saying he would talk to Duo about this whole marriage business.

"If you haven't noticed, Wufei, a man marrying a man isn't a usual thing. There are no ceremonies for such a union," Heero said dryly.

"Exactly! Which is why Duo must wear the traditional bride's dress!" Wufei sighed and plopped down in a chair across from Heero. "Tell me, what should I do?"

"I don't know. Try to reason with Duo," Heero said with a slight shrug.

"I already have!"

"Then try harder. Wufei, I've never gotten married before. I have no idea what is to be expected," Heero sighed.

"Aye ya! What help you are!" Wufei shot to his feet and ran off.

Heero shrugged and continued to sip his tea as he worked through a particularly mind numbing passage in his book.

Arabia...Quatre's palace of Luxury, no da...

"Zechs? How do you think Wufei and Duo are doing?" Quatre asked as he laid down with his beloved on the silk pillows in his room. They had been home for days now since they returned from their journey home from China. Quatre had been so happy to see his home again and his father actually hadn't mind that he had a male lover. That had been a great relief.

"I bet they're doing fine, lover," Zechs murmured as he slowly kissed Quatre along the jaw line.

Quatre smiled sweetly. "I think you're right..."

Back in China...

"Aahhh! Stay away from me!"

"Duo! Just wear the dress!"

"Omae o korosu, Chang!"

"You've been hanging out with Heero too much."

"Aye ya! Shut up!"

~*~

"I am so serious. We're not going to get married this way," Duo complained to Trowa as they strolled through the magnificent gardens of the Chang estate.

"Duo," Trowa said quietly. "Maybe if you agreed to wear the dress you two wouldn't have so much trouble."

"But I'm a man!" Duo gasped.

"So is Wufei," Trowa pointed out.

"Why don't we both just wear the same outfits the groom is suppose to wear?" Duo asked.

"Traditions demands that there be a bride," Trowa said with a slight shrug. "Besides, I don't think it's as bad as you make it out to be. All you do is wear the gown with the customary bridal veil and you're set. No one will even be able to see your face!"

"But they'll still know I am a man," Duo grounded out.

"Duo, do you love Wufei?"

"Of course!"

"Then agree to this. If you're marrying him, you're also marrying his family and the ancient traditions that go with it," Trowa said calmly. "This is China. It's nothing like England or...France."

"Is that where you're from?" Duo asked, just a bit surprised since they never did learn Trowa's true ethnicity.

"Yes," Trowa said, nodding. "I came from France. It wasn't very good over there since I came from a bad family and there was no love in there. I thought I found love there but he only sold me to slavery. But it was probably the best thing that could have ever happened to me since I found Heero. Be grateful, Duo, if you had never been captured you would have never met Wufei."

Duo was silent for a moment. He didn't know what he would do if something he thought he loved sold him into slavery. *Damn, Trowa's had to deal with a lot.* He chewed on his bottom lip for a moment.

"I guess you're right...And it's only for a little while during the wedding," Duo slowly agreed.

Trowa smiled slightly, a rare yet beautiful occasion. "Good, Duo."

Duo sighed. "I'm just glad my mother and father aren't alive to see me now."

Trowa laughed and threw his arm around Duo's shoulders. "Don't worry, Duo. It'll only be for a little while."

~*~

"Who's wedding should be first?" Meiren asked the next day when Duo finally admitted to wearing the bridal dress.

"Why don't you go first, Meiren?" Wufei asked as he sat down beside Duo and wrapped his arms around his fiancé. There was finally some peace in the Chang house and everyone was VERY relieved.

"No, I don't think so. You're the eldest, my wedding can wait," Meiren said, shaking her head.

"But you're the one who's going to carry the heir for the Chang family," Wufei pointed out.

"Me and Zhe Tian can wait," Meiren said firmly. "Who will I bow to during my wedding but my brother and brother-in-law?"

"Good point," Sally agreed.

And so, it was settled. Wufei and Duo would marry first.

~*~

"Gods, I can't see a thing!" Duo exclaimed as he felt the bridal veil settle over the jeweled headdress his head, the thick red silk blinding him from seeing anything.

"That's the point," Sally said as she secured the bridal veil. "No one is to see your face, including your husband until you reach the bridal chambers. So, don't peek!" Sally reached out and slapped the pale hand that tried to lift up the veil.

"Hey!"

"And another thing..." Sally began.

~*~

Duo bit his lower lip as he was slowly led out by two servants into the room where all the celebrations and ceremony was going to take place. All he could see was a lot of red silk and his slippers that he was wearing. Who would have thought his feet were actually small enough to fit into one of those things. O woe the humiliation that has been cast upon the Maxwell boy!

Finally, he reached the alter were everything was going to take place. He could see the red silk and the black slippers Wufei was wearing. He hadn't been able to see Wufei at all since the wedding was finally announced a week ago. Sally and Meiren had both insisted that it was tradition and left it at that.

Duo was aching to see and touch Wufei. He prayed that this ceremony would be over with quickly so they could go to the bridal chamber and have some fun.

Duo listened to the strange intoning of the priests and monks as the ceremony began. It seemed to last forever before Duo was finally led to kowtow before all the ancestors of the Chang family and then to Wufei.

Then, it was over.

The same servants out of the room down the hall led Duo to the bridal chamber. Duo swallowed hard and licked his lips as he continued to walk rapidly with the girls at his side. Then they reached the doors of the chamber.

The girls pulled them open and escorted Duo inside. They sat Duo on the bed and then left.

The doors closed and there was completely silence.

Duo sat there, wondering what the heck was going to happen now when the door opened and closed again. He immediately recognized Wufei's soft yet firm footsteps and his heart beated in anticipation. They hadn't been able to make love in a very long time. It was so frustrating! But now they were married and they could do it anytime they wanted. The freedom!

"How do you feel?" Wufei asked softly as he sat down beside Duo and took Duo's hand in his own.

Duo remained silent.

"Duo? Are you all right? You're not angry with me, are you? Please, it was only for a little while. Now everything's okay and we're married," Wufei said soothingly.

"..."

"Duo? Duo talk to me!"

"...Am I suppose to now?" Duo asked quietly.

"What?" Wufei had no idea what was going on.

"Sally told me that I couldn't speak to my husband until I had to," Duo explained.

Wufei sighed and stiffled a laugh.

"You can talk now. Here, let me get rid of that veil." Wufei stood up and came back with the long red stick with a long tassel and ceremoniously removed the veil with it. He tossed the veil aside and took in the beautiful sight of his new husband. He sighed softly and knelt down in front of Duo, taking the slim, pale hands into his own nicely bronzed ones. "You're beautiful, Duo."

Duo smiled and leaned down to kiss Wufei. "You're handsome as well, if I do say so myself."

Wufei laughed and stood up, pulling Duo to his feet as well. He wrapped his arms around his beloved's slim body and began to kiss that wonderfully sweet mouth that he hadn't been able to touch for such a long and agonizing time.

Suddenly the doors flew open and Sally, Meiren, Heero and Trowa walked in, laughing among them.

Wufei groaned and broke the kiss. Then he turned and glared at them.

"What are you doing here? Leave!" He told them, making shooing motions.

"Oh no, Brother. Remember tradition says that the family must make sure that the bride is pretty and worthy," Meiren said with a mischievous glint in her eyes. Heero and Trowa just shook their heads and laughed quietly.

Wufei rolled his eyes.

Sally stepped up and examined Duo closely. "Yes, yes. This bride is a beauty! Acceptable!" She then laughed and kissed Duo on the cheek affectionately. "Many happy wishes for your marriage, Duo."

"Thanks, Sally," Duo said, smiling broadly.

"Well, now that you've examined my "bride", will you all leave so I can have my wedding night?" Wufei asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Huh, you've been having your wedding night for as long as Duo has been here!" Meiren snorted. She turned and looped her arms with Heero and Trowa and started for the door. "Have fun!" Then she was out before Wufei could think of a proper response.

Sally bowed to them. "Good luck." Then she turned and left as well, closing the door firmly behind her and locking it.

Duo sighed and shook his head. "You're family and friends are crazy!"

"I know. I don't know how I ended up with them," Wufei laughed as he walked over to Duo and resumed exactly what he had been doing before they were interrupted.

"Mmm..." Duo opened his eyes briefly and caught sight of the table filled with food. He broke the kiss. "I'm hungry!" He pulled out Wufei's arms and headed for the food.

Wufei sighed and followed. He really wanted to go to bed but if Duo as hungry, he would wait.

Duo was eating happily when he noticed a tray with a white square of silk on it. It seemed to be pretty reverently put next to the bed.

"Eh, Wufei, what's that white silk stuff?" He asked between mouthfuls of duck and rice.

Wufei glanced over to the white silk and blushed. "Um, it's nothing."

"Come on, Wufei. What is it?" Duo asked curiously. "Sally didn't tell me anything about white silk."

"That's because it's not necessary for you to know about," Wufei muttered as he sipped his tea.

"But--"

Wufei suddenly went into a coughing fit.

"Fei? Are you all right?" Duo asked anxiously. Then he frowned. "You're playing with me. Stop coughing and tell me what the silk is for!"

Wufei sighed and poked at his food for a moment. Then he looked up at Duo, his obsidian eyes danced with amusement. "It's suppose to prove your virtue and worth to the Chang family."

Duo blinked. "Huh? How the heck is a piece of white silk suppose to do that?"

"You see," Wufei explained slowly, "a woman bleeds when they're first taken by a man. So, to prove that they are virtuous--[1]"

Duo held up a hand while fighting a blush. "I get it!"

Wufei laughed. "I told you that you didn't need to know!"

"Does that mean I need to bleed or something?" Duo asked nervously.

Wufei shook his head, an amused smile gracing his beautiful lips. "It's not necessary. I think one of the girls who was preparing this room didn't know you were, um, a man."

"Obviously," Duo said, rolling his eyes.

"Come on, I'm tired of eating food," Wufei said as he stood up and brought Duo to his feet. "I'd rather to have some of my beloved "bride"."

"Ha!" Duo was about to say more but his words were muffled as Wufei claimed his mouth. Duo moaned and literally melted as Wufei held him so tenderly while kissing the breath out of him. He gasped as Wufei lifted him up and carried him over to the bed.

"Duo, you're so beautiful. And now, you're my husband," Wufei murmured as he laid Duo down and began to unbutton the wedding dress. He got the first dress off and allowed his hands to wander at bit as he continued to ravage Duo's soft mouth.

"Wu-f-fei!" Duo gasped as he felt Wufei's hands brush against a sensitive spot of his. He then ended up moaning as Wufei began to massage his inner thighs, "innocently" brushing against his desire as he lay there helpless to Wufei's ministrations.

Wufei smiled as he completely undressed Duo and began to kiss the wonderfully soft flesh that he had uncovered.

Duo moaned and pressed himself against Wufei's mouth, demanding more of it. He reached out and began to pull off Wufei's clothes urgently. He wanted Wufei pressed up against him and he wanted him now!

Wufei pulled away and smiled sensuously as he began to take off the wedding clothing ever so slowly.

Duo watched as a little by little Wufei's wonderful body was revealed to him as the clothes came off. He sighed and reached out when Wufei was finally undressed and pulled the strong body against his own. Duo threw back his head and moaned as Wufei pressed his hips against his manhood.

"P-please!" Duo begged. "Please! Take me now, Fei!"

"In a little while," Wufei murmured as his lips trailed down Duo's sensitive neck to his chest.

Duo gasped and moaned. "Wufei! A little while was wearing that wedding dress! This is torturously too long!" He lifted his hips to meet Wufei's and shivered as the pleasure shocked his senses. He wanted to be taken so badly!

Wufei chuckled huskily and continued to kiss Duo oh so slowly.

"WUFEI!" Duo shouted in frustration. "Take me, NOW!"

Wuei merely shook his head and laughed before saying, "In a little while, my love."

~*~

Duo moaned and sighed softly as he pressed himself tighter against Wufei's firm body. His thoughts wandered to their very recent wedding night and laughed softly. Wufei had tortured him so badly before finally giving in and taking him. He almost wanted to kill Wufei for doing that, but if he did who would love him?

Closing his eyes, Duo thanked the gods that he had been captured and brought to China as a slave. If he never did, he would probably never have found Wufei and love. Oh yes, he had found love in chains.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ah-ha! And that's the wedding chapter! *smirking proudly* And I am VERY proud of that last sentence...*laughing* I hoped you enjoyed it! I certainly did!
[1] Okay, for those who didn't get it...As most people know a woman bleeds when she's taken. So, to prove that the bride is a virgin she's supposed to stain the white silk with her virgin blood. *shrug*
