Other Characters Misty's Sisters Misty, though we never see her parents, has three beautiful sisters. Daisy, Lily, and Violet (someone must like flowers a lot!) take care of the Cerulean City gym and host their own underwater ballets. Known to most as the Sensational Sisters of Cerulean City, they tend not to include Misty in anything quite as prestigious as their underwater shows (part of the reason she left...). Poor Misty has had to live in the limelight of her three older sisters, always getting the cool new doll collections, always bragging about how more beautiful they are?E However, this doesn't mean that Misty doesn't love them. She even let them keep her Starmie and Horsea when Ash and them visited Cerulean to help Misty's sisters put on a show. Although, even though Misty helps them out, that doesn't mean that they can't still make fun of her sometimes! Todd Being an expert pokemon photographer, Todd sees Ash and friends quite a few times throughout their journeys. The first time they met, Ash thought that Todd was a sniper in the bushes, ready to strike, when in reality, he was just going to take Pikachu's picture. He helps them uncover Team Rocket's evil scheme in "The Breeding Center Secret", and reunited with them later on in Johto to take the perfect pic of Articuno. Richie Ash meets Richie when he goes to the Indigo Pokemon League. They become instant friends, and end up battling each other in Ash's last round. Richie has a Pikachu (Sparky), a Butterfree (Happy), and a Charmander (Zippo). He's a very nice kid, and like Ash, wants to someday be a Pokemon Master. Both he and Ash will see each other again toward the end of the Whirl Islands, and there they will have to uncover a secret. Cassidy, Butch, and Giovanni Cassidy and Butch are the other Team Rocket pair that we get to see once in a while. They're definitely not as funny as Jessie and James, but they certainly are meaner. Their plans for stealing pokemon usually go right, until Ash and friends (and usually Jessie and James too) get involved. They have used pokemon like Raticate, Primeape, and Drowzee. Giovanni is the leader of Team Rocket. He is just about the meanest, ugliest dude around, and has a strong hatred for Jessie and James. I really don't know why he just doesn't sack them when he has the chance?E However, he did do some pretty evil things like create Mewtwo, and try to take everyone's pokemon on the S.S. Anne. Perhaps someday Ash will meet up with him; face to face. Professor Elm Professor Elm is Johto's pokemon professor in New Bark Town. He meets Ash and friends before Ash is even registered for the Johto League in "Don't Touch That 'Dile". An old student of Professor Oak's, Elm concentrates his research on simply pokemon, and thinks that Professor Oak wastes too much of his time on pokemon/human relationships. Even so, he still is a great professor, and proves very useful when his newly caught Corsola saves Ash and friends at the start of the Whirl Islands. Brock's Dad Flint is Brock's "good for nothing" dad. When Brock's mom had many kids to take care of, Flint left to become a great pokemon trainer. Well, Brock's mom couldn't handle it, so she ended up dying, and it was up to Brock to take care of his brothers, sisters, and the pokemon gym. Ash helps get Brock's dad up and going again, and now it's Flint that has to take care of his kids, and the pokemon gym! Casey and Sakura The stubborn and outgoing Team Electabuzz fan Casey is one tough rookie! Ash and friends are first introduced to a Chikorita by seeing Casey's. Ash and her battle, (he uses Charizard), and Casey ends up losing, but they still become friends. Later on, Ash and Casey meet up again at the Bug Catching Contest (not Misty's favorite place), and have the privilege of watching her Chikorita evolve into a Bayleef! Sakura is the youngest of five sisters, and owns an Eevee. All of her sisters have evolved Eevee, and hers ends up being an Espeon. Misty and Sakura instantly have a connection (they both have older sisters who drive them nuts!) and share stories about what's happened to them. The last time they saw Sakura, she almost decided to travel with them, but at the last minute decided that she needs to be on her own; not dependent upon other people, that way she'll get stronger.
