"It's a longshot, I know. He might just be too young."
Still talking to them.

Piccolo uses his magic to draw Gohan away from Roshi and into his grasp.
"Quiet! I can't that noise anymore, ya hear?!"
Gohan freaks when he first sees his teacher.
"What is your mission, Gohan? Say it!"
"To prepare for the saiyajins...to fight...and defend the Earth!"
"Let's go back."
"Right!"
Piccolo arrives to take Gohan back after he ran away for home.
"Alright Gohan, you're all set...but are you sure you want to continue with your training?"
"......."
"Good...with an attitude like that you just might make it. NOW!"
Training begins.
"Gohan, the energy's slow, but it's enormous. I think he wants us to clear out!"
Piccolo cautioning his pupil as Kuririn blasts at the saiyajins and saibamen.
"How rude, no manners at all!.....You're done!"
Piccolo seizes a saibaman as it prepared to attack Gohan
"Thank you Piccolo!"
"Hmmph! Be strong Gohan. You see, when you're chopping down a really big tree it takes more than one swing. We'll get it."
Gohan tries to thank his mentor
"Gohan, believe in yourself."
"I'll try."
"Don't try, do it!"
"Right!"
Piccolo tries to encourage Gohan as he fends off an oncoming saibaman.
"Gohan, it's true. I taught you everything."
Piccolo says this to himself after telling Gohan to just go home.
"Don't worry kid. I won't let anything happen to you. I promise."
Piccolo remembers what his vow as he rushes to save his pupil.
"It's okay kid. No sweat..."
Piccolo manages to say that before collapsing from Nappa's blast.
"I'm pssing into another dimension...Wish me back, ok? It's up to you."
Piccolo rasps these words as he lays dying.
"Gohan...you were the only real friend I've ever had. I wanna thank you."
Piccolo's last moments.
"I remember the first day I brought you here...you've changed so much since then...and the harder things got...the more determined you became...I'm proud of you."
Whip out the tissues!
"Hey sorry I was so rough on you...I knew you could take it...Get 'em..Gohan."

Gohan after failing to avenge his teacher's death.
"And then we can wish Piccolo back!"
Gohan learns of the namekian dragonballs.
"Gohan...is in trouble!"
Piccolo senses what is going on during Gohan's fight with Guido of the Ginyu Force
"Hang in there, kid."
Piccolo learns that Goku's arrived on Namek while Gohan is near dead.
"Thatta boy. Guess I'll be seeing you real soon then."
"Yeah, we'll be fighting side-by-side again. Just like on Earth!"
Gohan and Piccolo talking about the plan to wish the namek over to his home planet to face Freeza.
"A dying power! That better not be Gohan!"
Piccolo senses Nail's ailing power as he rushes to help Gohan, Vegeta, and Kuririn.
"Hang on Gohan. I'm on my way. Just don't give up...Please don't give up!'
Piccolo senses that Gohan is in deep trouble.
"Uh-oh. Gohan's energy signal is fading! I'm not gonna let it happen. We've been thru too much together...(reminices)...You were just a pampered kid when I took you in...but you never gave up...you never failed to surprise me either. Maybe I shouldn't have been so hard on you, but you did it without complaint...and I could tell that despite the hardship I put you through, you truly cared about me...so I died for you...and I'd do it all over again...(back to present)...I'm almost there! Don't you let go!"
From an uncut video. Piccolo senses that Freeza's crushing of Gohan's head is taking its toll on the boy.
"It's Piccolo! Am I dreaming? Is it really you?!"
"Good to see you, Gohan."
"Heh heh heh!"
Piccolo shows up to find Gohan ok and Freeza waiting for a fight.
"So that's him, Freeza?"
"Yea, that's him alright!"
Piccolo acknowledges the enemy.
