2. The Big Fight- Thru-out this entire battle, Piccolo is saving Gohan, even as he pounds him. If he didn't fight the boy, the Spice Boys would and they could kill him. So by punching and kicking the demi-saiyajin himself, Piccolo's keeping Garlic Jr's henchmen off him.
3. It's Gohan's Turn- Gohan can't stand to see Piccolo getting pounded any further. When the colossal Garlic Jr. is about send a devastating punch to the weakened namek, Gohan blocks it and prepares to fight in his mentor's place.
4. It Ain't Over Yet, Kid- After plowing a hole the size of Canada thru Garlic Jr's belly, Gohan is in shock to find that he's still alive. The giant blue elf charges at the boy, who is too terrified to move. Piccolo, although terribly weakened, jumps up and kicks Garlic Jr. away.
5. Up to a Boy- When the Dead Zone is reopened, Gohan creates a sheild over himself, Kuririn, and Piccolo. Piccolo pleads with him to destroy the Makyo Star, but Gohan refuses, telling him that he and Kuririn are too important to him. Finally, Piccolo gains enough power to distract Garlic Jr., giving Gohan time to save him and Kuririn by shooting the Makyo Star.
