Esbjerg

The bells on this church rang literally like 300 times on Sunday morning. It was right next to our hotel. Maybe that's why it was so inexpensive!

Tezzy felt free to, against our wishes, run around barefoot.
Esbjerg is just a little fishing/port city. It has a cute city square with its characteristic red brick buildings.
Nee-Nee and Tantie trailing behind the energetic Tezzy.

In the summer sun, a good opportunity to have a drink and enjoy the square's terraces.

Tezzy made a friend while we drank. They couldn't understand a word that they were saying to each other, but they had good fun.

Tantie didn't quite approve of our Chinese hotel and restaurant. Asian is not her lievelings cuisine. Plus that the lady running the place was a bit snappish. Fortunatley the big restaurant on the square made up for that lapse in hospitality.

Upon departure, we took a ferry to the island of Fan. As the boat left the shore, we got one last glimpse of Esbjerg. You can see the old watertower, and the Jrn Utzon designed Musikhus. Jrn Utzon is the designer of the world architectural landmark that is the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
