EVIL DEAD IN THE GHOST MOUNTAIN): This one rocks!, In the contryside town, there�s a kid (Pedro Fernandez) with his uncle (Resortes, the odd dancer/comedian) trying to find the secret gold treasure hidden somewhere in a old ghost town in the top of a supposedly �cursed mountain�. They find not only the trace of the gold mine but the evil and humongous ancestral guardian ghost keeper who�s chasing them, and killing everybody who�s in his way...conjurations, backstabbings, witchery, chases, even funny moments (and gross ones), make this one an obligated purchase to those who don�t like stupid movies such �A Scary Movie�, ok, this one is stupid too, but the director didn�t plan it that way. TERROR A LA MUERTE: (FEAR TO DIE) �85: Incredible, amazing and hypnotic jewel of TRUE MEXICAN HORROR trash!...there�s a guy who is a mixure of a mexican Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme (he also wears his karate trainning uniform with stars and stripes! �he�s a Uncle Sam True Amigo!!-), an evil criminal mad doctor (yes!) kiddnaped the daugther of our hero, that mad doctor have his house in the middle of a macabre forest, in his bed lies a dissected body of what seems a beauty contest queen (but in fact his wife �he says so-), also out in the forest lurks a giant killer bear, a motor bike gang in the most pure style of �mexican Hell Angels�, a bunch of stabbing killer weirdos who live in the basement of that house in the most pure vein of the family tree of �Texas Chainsaw Massacre�...And our hero must fight against all that dangers with his bare hands and his karate skills to rescue her daughter!!!!...if you want more in deep depictions ok, here you have: Evil Dead meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Buio Omega meets Mad Max meets Evil Dead Trap meets Jason meets Delta Force meets People Unders The Stairs...yeeehhhaaaaww!...For those who wanted the top of adventure-gore-martial arts-demons-weirdos-mad doctors-terror-and ocasional sex...what the hell are you waiting for!!??. A true adversary for the crown on MONDO MACABRO mag. Due it�s rarity (It wasn�t a commercial movie), there�s one glitch in the begining of the tape, fair to good quality due it�s rarity, and you won�t find this flick anywhere else. We recommend this flick as our No. 1 without any doubt!!!! B.A. Color. Unrated (?). -SIETE EN LA MIRA II: LA FURIA DE LA VENGANZA (A.K.A. SEVEN IN THE LOOKOUT 2: FURY OF REVENGE A.K.A. MEXICAN MAD MAX 2, -80�s-) One of the most outrageous films ever made in Mexico...a bunch of mexi-punks (in the most pure �mad max� look-a-like), are in the search of 3 brothers whom already killed their old leader and at the same time brother of the actual infamous punk evil new commander called: �Judas�...now that punks are looking for revenge, incredible well done FX and fulyfilled with enough adrenaline to keep you awake for a week!. Gore, car chases, explosions, violence, beheadings, stabbings...even black witchery (!?), sure to please the most demanding videohounds...this one is a very hard-to-find since nobody knew the existence of this sequel...even us!...Color. B.A. new! -LA TEXANA ASESINA 2 (THE KILLER RANGER HAT 2) 90�S: Oh yeah baby!, we were been amazed for all the things that could be possessed by the great with horns such: little girls, mirrors, houses, graveyards, corpses, serial killers, toys, even cars!. But how about a ranger hat for a change huh?, the possession begins when some lost soul wears that cursed ranger hat (with that frightning metal skull who�s won�t get possessed?) and the evil entety will tear you apart (and of course your dearest friends go first), incredible S.O.V. mexican border movie, lotsa of fright time, terror, horror and even laughs (!). We are in the trace of the �La texana maldita part 1�, but in the meanwhile enjoy this movie...for those maniacs of mexican possession theme, what is next?...possessed lollipops?. Color. B.A. -EL CHANEQUE: ALARIDO DE TERROR (DEVIL�S ENTITY: CRIES OF TERROR): Supernatural, horror and gore in the mexican way. Some grave robbers kills to anybody who tried to stop them in their run to keep some ceremonial (holy) bones from a very strange burial pyramid in Mexico, without any warning about they just unleashed the most evil and bloodthirsty prehispanic demon ever created!. This demon is commited to punish the grave robbers and at the same time rescue that holy bones...he�s unstopable demon, even he already tried to kill a little girl...Evil (also read VILE) stuff!. | VIVIR EN LA LUCHA LIBRE (HISTORIA DE LA LUCHA LIBRE EN MEXICO) : (LIVING IN THE RING -STORY OF THE MEXICAN WRESTLING-): Oooooh boy!, oh boy, oh boy!, finally the definitive docu of the most interesting sport here in Mexico: the wrestling mania, for the mexican wrestling video collector this is the bible, and for the foreign viewer this is the heaven!, from the genesis of the masked wrestling to the ultra heavy new breed of gladiators...from El Santo to Blue Demon, from Mil Mascaras to the canadian (mexican adopted) wrestler called El Vampiro, covering also the story of Superbarrio and Fray Tormenta, the true real-life masked mexican heroes who go wrestling to get money and help the poor...everything, every drop of sweat, tears and fake blood (we are just kidding!) is compiled here. E-S-E-N-T-I-A-L!!!. From B/W to Color. B.A. new! -LA INVASION DE LOS VAMPIROS A.K.A. THE VAMPIRE INVASION (60�S): -EL SANTO & BLUE DEMON VS. MONSTERS: Incredible wrestling trash jewel of all times, Santo and Blue Demon must fight not against one or two or three but 6 monsters at once!. The werewolf, The vampire, The she-vampire, The cyclops, The mummy, and �Franquenstein� (we believe for copyrights the name was changed), Incredible super cheesy-classic. Inventive and weird plot, even there�s an opening scene were the heroes and villians are presented posing for the camera...we don�t have any clue why the director/producer made this movie...because �artistic� is not the word we are looking for and succesful...neither. For those who wanted the complete version of this emblematic mexican movie from the wrestling golden era. The second winner of �Aztec Pit Award� for the worst cover (hey, imagine if your two years old nefew draw with crayola our beloved heroes!). B/W. B.A. -KARLA Y LOS JAGUARES VS. EL INVASOR MISTERIOSO A.K.A. KARLA AND THE JAGUARS VS. THE MISTERIOUS INVADER FROM OUTER SPACE (70�S): The incredible series of the fictional wrestlers team called �Los jaguares�, helped by the marvelous and gorgeous Karla, a bounch of evil aliens from outer space are planning to conquer the world (isn�t Pinky?), unfortunately for those aliens are the fact of Los Jaguares, whom will fight against them until their paceful departure or the potential �all-hell-break-loose� fights. Incredible fantastic and funny, Sci-fi extravaganza, Ed Wood turn in your grave (ha!). Color. T.R. |
