This is Orionth as a darling Hatchling! I remember perfectly the day we imressed - the day he came to me - chose me! Out of all the other little hatchlings, Orionth chose me! It's amazing! The day is still so vivid in my mind and Orionth's! He was so tiny and so beautiful - all delicate wings and clumbsy feet! He came out of his shell and darted straight for me! I knew he'd chosen me the second he first creeled at the hot sand under his ewborn feet! Orionth's first thought as an impressed dragon was, of course, I'M HUNGRY!!! *S*

Here the darling is as a Baby. We were going to classes together - him learning to fly from older dragons, and me learning to care for him from older riders! He was a curious baby, and often took me on unanounced adventures trying to find him where he played hide-and-go-seek with me! But, I'll give him this - he was a quiet baby. Most little dragons that have just descovered their massive vocal chords bugle constantly until their riders must berate them! But not Orionth - he did it once in school and the teacher dragons scolded him so bad that he did not try that again! He grew so fast and ate tons of meat! At this stage, he was as tall as me!
Here is my baby as a Weyrling - not so much of a baby anymore! This is where his growth spurt hit - as if he wasn't growin fast enough! I swear he grew 3 inches every night while he slept. By the time we entered Weyrling Training he was 3 feet taller than me at the SHOULDER!
We did well in our training and studies as well! He is a very graceful flyer and skilled in the Thread drills, though we probably will not have to fly Thread for real! Thanks Goodness and all that s Light! He was very smart, even at an early age, and his favorite game was a prank! In the middle of a drill, he'd push off the haunch of the dragon in front of him, do a barrel roll, and fly upside down - with me attached by nothing but a riding belt! He's crazy - I swear! But, after a while it got to be fun, and we are the only one's who'll try it, so we feel special! *S*
