♥ Do you use the Net for other classes? If so, which are they? Describe the course and
how you used the Net for whatever assignment or project. Be specific.
→In Advanced Reading, we used the cyber classroom for other outside–class activities. In the cyber classroom we post questions or comments about the course, or we can also post extra materials from personal research that is relevant to the class. From my experience, the use of the cyber classroom felt really handy when we were getting ready for our group presentation. The cyber classroom has a room for called "GROUP PROJECTS, " so when the professor registers the name of the students of each group, the room will automatically open to the rooms of each group. For example, I was in group 1, so, when I logged into the "GROUP PROJECTS" section, the room of our group will appear, but if a person from group 4 logged into the section, the room for group 4 will appear — therefore, other than the members of the group, the room is closed (except for the professor of course ^ ^ ;) |

♥ How helpful was the Net? Was it more useful than if you had used conventional means, e.g.,
finding books and periodicals in the library?
→ The use of the cyber classroom, as mentioned above, was extremely helpful for several reasons. The main reason would be that it reduced the trouble caused in finding the right time to meet outside the classroom — this is extremely difficult when you have more than 2 or 3 members. Another reason would be that we could post our materials without being worried about other people (that were not in our group) would see what we were doing. The last reason would be that through the other discussion boards, the other students taking the course would post useful materials we were not able to find. So, we could also refer to such information from other members of the course. (pretty selfish, I guess^^; we dont want others to see what we are doing, but we want to use the things they find!) |

♥ Would it help if core classes in your major, or general education classes at Ewha were online?
→ Yes, I believe it would be very helpful, for the reasons I just mentioned above. However, I do believe that if the cyber classroom also had a place were actual "lecture" could be uploaded, it would become much more useful than it already is. Especially in the case of "non-major" courses, where we have so much facts and statistics to memorize, if the professor was able to upload his or her lecture, just as a sound file or a video file, it would be very helpful to the students. |

♥ Would you like to see other English or other language courses online? If so, what would they be?
→ Yes, I would especially like the "must-take" cultural courses to be uploaded in our cyber campus. Not only do they cover so mush general, yet intricate facts, but also since in most cases, more than 200 students take the course at a time, it is hard for the students to concentrate in class. |
