PROJECTS
- Various projects involving different techniques in processing digital
images and video for filtering, compression, feature recognition and
classification. Most of the projects were done using MatLab.
- Designed and analyzed performance of binary and M-ary baseband and
passband digital communication systems in the presence of noise, also designed
and analyzed performance of analog communication systems in the presence of
noise. Briefly examined data compression and error control coding techniques.
- Digital integrated circuit design, analysis, and layout, and use of tools
for creating complex CMOS VLSI systems. Designed the layout of CMOS Inverter,
NAND, NOR gates and also complex functions using Magic, and simulate it using
RNL.
- Analyzed the concepts of RF and microwave electronic system design. Topics
included amplifier design, matching, filter design, oscillator and mixer
design, modulation, and receivers.
- Special topic involving satellite communications. Studied handoff problems
in LEO satellites.
