| * Time management is of critical importance. Ensure you get started early, work diligently and consistently as the work load is quite high for this assignment. * Breakdown the topic amongst your group members in a fair manner clearly outlining each member's responsibilites and deadlines. Also, make sure you are familar with your group members material in case they are absent on the day of the presentation. * Develop a presentation outline. Ensure your presentation has a structure to it. You can always use the old "Intro, Body, Conclusion, Questions & Comments" format. * Read, re-read, understand, highlight important information, summarize, summarize again, and finally review your entire material to ensure you've captured, understand and will be able to communicate the presentation material. * Please don't stand in front of the class and read from your notes. Instead, try to make eye contact, break your presenation into parts to avoid sounding monotonous, and ENGAGE class members in activities you have come up with. * I'm here to help! If you're unclear to the requirements, don't understand some technical info in your topic or just need to clarify your strategies or need ideas, please contact me as early as possible and NOT the week before you present. * Barring any medical or family emergency, ALL group members must be present to on the day of the presentation. If you miss your presentation, you must provide a doctor's note or a letter from your parents (if you're under 18) including contact info as I will verify your reasons for not missing the presentation class. * Good luck and once again, please discuss ANY issues you may have well in advance of your presentation. |
