Ernest James Mawhinnew (NX133879)

Ernest MAWHINNEW was born in 1913 in Petersham, NSW, AUS. He was the second child out of three children of Thomas James MAWHINNEW (or MAWHINNEY) (1881-1951) and Catherine Barr LOGAN.

In 1935, Ernest married Winifred D WYKES and in April 1942 he enlisted in the Australian Army. At discharge in December 1945 he was a Corporal assigned to the 2/5 Infantry TPS FD PL.
