| SNOPES.COM, is a site I go to when I get e-mails that make their rounds in cyber space and either tell a story, show a picture, ask for money, offer to give money, appear chain letter like and so on. I go here because this site investigates such e-mail stories for their validity. I recently read in a local newspaper an article someone found in their e-mail box. I called the newspaper editor, told him that I too had received such a story in my e-mail in-box and that unfortunately the story was not true. The editor had to print a retraction.. It's sad that people feel compelled to send this stuff around, but they do. Now we have a site to go to and find out the real deal. The site itself has so many interesting things on it it's actually fun. The photo portion is really interesting. |
| Everyone who knows me knows I'm a huge Stephen King fan. If you enjoy his books too, become a SKEMER! (Stephen King E-mailers) It's a newsletter that each member get's to participate in. They also do conventions. This years is at the "Stanley Hotel" in Colorado. |

| On the serious side. With war looming and everyone knowing at least one person overseas, this is a site that is one to go to. Lt. Smash (not his real name) has posted an on-line journal. It's witty, interesting and one that everyone should see. |
