Silk rose at the crack of dawn. After washing & dressing, she made her way down to the common room, wondering what new customers would enter today. She also wondered if the man named Xavier would return like he promised.
Silk poured herself a large mug of java & sat at the bar, going over the mind message she had received from Azaya as she awoke this morning. Apparently her friend's quest was nearly over & she would be returning to the tavern soon along with the others. Silk was glad about that since she was tired of playing barmaid. But you promised Azaya you'd stick it out until her return.
She looked around at the various patrons of the inn & smiled, surprised that Kartha hadn't driven them all away with her sarcastic mouth. After finishing her java, Silk went into the kitchen hoping to have breakfast with Chang Po. She discovered Josh and five of his friends helping with the cooking.
"Hi!" Josh quipped. "We'll have you some eggs & ham whipped up in a second."
Silk sat at the table, trying not to laugh at Chang Po, who was trying to clean up the various messes the children were making. Guess they need to learn some kitchen etiquette. She tried not to laugh when Lonnie dropped a plate, and Josh and Baily began to bicker about who was going to fry up the eggs this time.
Suddenly, an egg flew across the room hitting Chang in the head and splattering its contents all over his face. Silk couldn't take it any longer. Quickly, she left the kitchen and burst into laughter as she reached the common room, hoping nobody noticed how insane she looked.
