Friends help Ravin compose wedding vows for his first marriage to Kyri

The thief was somewhat relieved and yet unhappy about the outcome of poor Eremis. He did hope the lad would pull through. Valhorek could use the assistance the way things were happening lately. But for now, the patients were asleep and resting comfortably and there was a celebration to be had. This was Ravin's last night as a single man. After tomorrow, he and Kyri would become husband and wife.

He approached the table where there were jokes and stories being bandied about. Erlic grabbed a chair and decided that if a proper celebration were to be had, they would definitely need more room. He instructed Corum to give him a hand. Immediately, they had three tables together to accommodate everyone involved.

Pitchers of ale, wine and whiskey were brought to the table as everyone indulged in the drinking ceremony for the evening. Arcanum and Val had joined in the festivities as well, but the healer reserved the amount of liquor he would consume because of his patients in the hospice. It wouldn't be right for a healer to get drunk while one of his patients encountered some sort of danger.

It was at this moment that Ravin asked for everybody's help. He explained that he wasn't too good with words and didn't want to disappoint his new bride. "No problem," Marz exclaimed feeling extremely relaxed, "We'll help ya with the dirty deed. In fact, I got the opening line." But before Marz could continue, Erlic stopped him as he left to get quill and paper to write down the momentous words. Upon arriving, he instructed his student to continue. "Oh yeah, where was I? Marz slurred. "Got it. How about, Your body fills me with desire, let my loins put out your fire. The table roared with laughter while Erlic simply shook his head, shivering at Kyri's reaction to something so primitive.

"I like that," Ravin stated. "That's pretty good, don't you think Erlic?" Ravin was given a sorrowful look from his thieving friend and wondered why he looked so admonished. Dalo, after trying to regain his composure, decided it was time he helped out. "There isn't a task beyond Ravin, He is clearly a man among men, Though some others do well, He is bound to Excel, Each achievements not "whether" but "when."

Once again laughter engulfed the table, making everyone's eyes water as well as making everyone thirstier. Erlic could only shake his head at the utter nonsense being spewed about the table. But everyone, including himself, was having an enjoyable time. Once the laughter died down, Corum stood up stating he had the appropriate verse for the wedding. "You don't know nothin' about this stuff," Marz interrupted. "And anyway, if you don't do something soon it'll fall off."

"Fall off?" Dalo inquired.

"Yeah," Marz answered. "You know, if you don't do it often enough like everyday, they say your thing can fall off. I mean look at Erlic, he probably lost his a long time ago."

After around round of laughter, Dalo caught his breath and answered, "Marz, you truly amaze me. I had never heard it quite put that way."

"Yeah, but now Ravin's going to lose his," Marz stated. "Once he's married, it's bound to fall off from lack of use." Again the roar of laughter was followed by the intake of more drinks.

"As I was saying," Corum stated. "Yorik here is going to tell me his story and since all of you are so dumb you can't understand him, I'll convey the message."

"Hey Corum," Marz asked. "Does Yorik have a thing or did his fall off too from lack of use? I mean it's kind of hard to tell whether Yorik's a he or a she."

"I'll drink to that," Dalo quipped, raising his glass in the air at a mock toast to Yorik and downing its contents. "But, let the lad continue. After all, if I had a pole like Yorik, I would probably be well liked by all the women."

Marz pounded his fist on the table and laughed so hard he fell out of his chair, enticing even more laughter from the men.

Corum finally had his say so and after listening to Yorik, he proceeded, "Two lovers up Yellowhorse way, Once after a roll in the hay, Were engaged as they ate, And said it was great, And did happy times stop there? Oh nay."

"A toast to Yorik," Dalo cried, wiping tears from his eyes. "Corum, you'll do well to listen and learn. While Yorik might be knotty, he's definitely firm."

The laughter continued as the thief watched, engaging with his own antics as well.
