Whois
I chose to footprint uh.edu and found out information such as the University address, the Administrative contact information, Technical contact, server names and IP addresses. This is what I found while using the web and entering whois, followed by the IP address for UH at www.internic.net:
We also discovered that we can use a Web browser to gather inversemapping information. The ARIN WHOIS website. gave us information about who owns the IP address and the range of IP addresses belonging to that owner. Also contact information and the date it was last updated.
