KIDS PLACE GARDEN CLUB

The Executive Director and founder, CarolynT. Lowery and some of the garden club participants.

The participants learn about plants and nature, gardening skills and responsibility

They learn that seeds turn into what eventually ends up on their plates at dinner time.

They learn how to give love and care for something.

The aduts in the community learn that kids can be good citizens if you find things to keep them busy and out of trouble.

It teaches them entreprenurial skills through the selling of the fruits, in this case, the vegetables of their labor, allowing them to earn their own money.

They learn they have no need to steal or go hungry.  Crime is the furthest thing from their mind.  This program provides fun and excitment (as they watch their crops grow), skill training and unity.
