Biography:
Derek Cantina, born and raised in Sacramento, California made is professional wrestling debut in March 2000, under the name of Radical Derek Bradford. He worked for the now defunct World Class Wrestling. In WCW Derek Bradford was known for one thing and one thing only, he was the first and only wrestler to never win a match. Not surprisingly Bradford was starting to hate wrestling and all that it stood for.

After two years of never ending politics and constant back stabbing Radical Bradford had enough and simply quit wrestling seemingly for good. Shortly after quitting WCW Bradford found employment as a bartender in a popular nightclub in downtown Sacramento. Bradfords enthusiasm and natural charisma quickly earned him the nickname of Mr. Cantina. Every so often Bradford missed wrestling and the rush of performing for the fans but unfortunately not a single wrestling promotion seemed interested or so he thought

On June 11th, 2002 Bradford received the phone call that changed his life. A man named Mason Stone, owner the Dragon Wrestling Association, offered Bradford an opportunity to wrestle for his company. It was a developmental contract, but Bradford didnt care, he was ready to give wrestling another shot.

In July 2002 Bradford made his DWA debut as Derek Cantina, a wrestling bartender. His first match was a five man battle royal for a shot at the American Championship. Derek Cantina made a valiant effort but unfortunately he was eliminated, however the fans welcomed him to the DWA with open arms. In his first singles match in the DWA, Derek Cantina achieved what he never could in WCW, a victory! After a few more impressive wins Derek Cantina received his first title shot for the newly created Velocity Championship at the August pay-per-view. On August 29th 2002 Derek Cantina made DWA history and became the first ever DWA Velocity Champion. From that day forward Derek Cantina has been a popular fan favorite. After the unfortunate closure of the DWA, Cantina surfaced in a few other promotions across the country. Hes competed in the 3WA, the OWF, and in the RfoW. In the RfoW he achieved the impossible Derek Cantina became the RfoW World Heavyweight Champion!!! Will The Intoxicated One reach the same glory in the AWA, only time will tell.
