Follow the rules in this handbook and you will have no problems in the AWA. Please read it before joining.

Mission Statement
Welcome to the American Wrestling Association (AWA), where heroes are made and legends are broken. The AWA is here for one reason and one reason only: to restore professional wrestling as a sport and not mere sports entertainment. The AWA is a smaller promotion much like TNA Wrestling. We are not a huge multi-billion dollar promotion like the WWE, but we are much larger than a mere regional promotion. The AWA does not pay it's superstars multi-million dollar contracts because quite frankly, we don't have the resources for that. Consequently, our shows are not huge pyrotechnic displays. A few explosions and some flames per show, but that's about it.

The AWA is not a "hardcore" promotion. We do not boast about being the most hardcore or extreme promotion in existence because that is not what Jayson Carter's vision entails. The AWA is based on old-fashioned, traditional professional wrestling: wrestling the way it should be. However, Carter does understand the potential for having high risk matches and therefore some "extreme" type matches will be witnessed in the AWA. These matches, however, will be used only on Pay Per Views and to end feuds. Meaning Jayson Carter will not sign matches such as Barbwire Cage Matches, Hell in a Cell Matches, Flaming Tables Matches, or any form of Deathmatches. Unless the situation absolutely calls for it.

The AWA is here to restore the pride and honor that once came with professional wrestling. We are here to show the world that we don't need to be a multi-billion dollar promotion to provide the fans with what they want. Take away the fancy pyrotechnics, take away the insane costly stunts, take away the ridiculously unneccesary extreme matches, and all you have left is the wrestling. And Jayson Carter believes that is all you need to win the fans over.

Your Journey
Step One: So you've joined the AWA, awesome. But don't think this will be easy. You will be added to the developmental roster, no bio, just your name on the roster. In your first week you will be expected to post a roleplay on the developmental board. This roleplay must be posted before the AWA Front Office puts you in any kind of match. If you do not post a developemental roleplay within one week you will be fired. Bye!
Step Two: So you posted your first roleplay and youve been placed in a dark match on Sunday Night Showdown, not bad. It is absolutely vital that you roleplay for this match. Though, your match isnt broadcasted on national television the front office is watching. Impress them and youll be given televised matches on Showdown. But if you lose expect to be in dark matches until you win.
Step Three: If you made it to Showdown and youre no longer wrestling dark matches, congratulations. Now you have to start racking up wins to receive a push and challenge for a title. It won't be easy but no one said it would be. So good luck!

Roleplaying Guidelines
1. Roleplays are the core of efedding and as always it is quality far above quantity. 2. No attacking other superstars/staff members (that includes belongings) in roleplays unless you have permission from that superstar or from a staff member. 3. Make your roleplays realstic. No wars, nuclear explosions, etc. 4. Roleplaying just before deadline is frowned apon and can cause a loss in push. 5. The maximum rp's allowed for Showdown is 3. 6. The maximum rp's allowed for PPV's is 5. 7. No using other wrestlers/staff members in your rps without their permission. 8. In-ring promos will not be counted, they may even be deleted.

Personal Conduct
1. No racial or sexual slurs on the boards. 2. No telling people they suck. There's a difference between constructive criticism and destructive criticism. 3. We want a friendly board atmosphere so try to get along. 4. No spamming.

Television
Jayson Carter and the AWA have managed to achieve one thing other (bigger) wrestling promotions have not. Theyve secured their own satellite channel: the AWA Network. The AWA Network plays all AWA, all the time. Promos recorded by AWA Superstars as well as the AWAs events are broadcasted on the AWA Network and only the AWA Network. The reason for this being, Jayson Carter felt it was important to remove the sport from the consumer driven, egotistical, corporate greed trap wrestling had fallen into. By separating the AWA from a dependency on money given by companies advertising during their event, Carter and the AWA are free to do whatever they want, whenever they want, without restrictions.

The AWA has one weekly show, broadcasted on Sundays. The show is named Sunday Night Showdown and will usually consist of six (6) to eight (8) matches. Since SNS is the only weekly show in the AWA, everyone will receive their fair share of airtime and opportunities to show the fans what theyve got. Though the arena SNS takes place in is small, the events are always televised nationally on the AWA Network.

The AWA presents six (6) pay per view a year. The pay per views are big deals in the AWA and will feature some absolutely jaw-dropping matches. The AWA Heavyweight Championship will be showcased and defended at each and every pay per view and it will very rarely be defended on SNS.

Segments
*A segment is a scene written by a superstar to be placed on the show.

1. Segments must be discussed with a staff member before submitted.
2. They are a great way to develope a character/fued.
3. If you submit oncards frequently that are original and good you are more likely to recieve a push.
4. Segments must be completely written out, exactly how you want them to appear on the card.

Challenging
Are you sick of being in lowercard matches? Going for lowercard titles? Ready to prove yourself? Then challenge!

The only way to get ahead in this fed is to challenge people, not neccesarily for titles, but just challenge people who are established, if you beat them or really push them to the limit you are likely to get pushed. Try it!

These Rules Can Be Changed At Any Time!
Have fun, that is what this is about!
