One of the biggest problems I have with reading Mists of Avalon is this: it's so darned long. Now I'm not talking about how it takes so long to read, or is repetitive, etc. etc., but rather, when there's a particular section you want to read, or if you want to look something up, it's pretty hard to find. So the following is a list of some of the major events and on what page they start according to the paperback 876-page Del Rey book, published by Ballantine Books. It has the cover picture that's misty-blue with Morgaine upon her horse, holding up Exclalibur.

There are major gaps, I know, especially between pages 438 and 743.

817	Morgause does her evil-sorceress ritual; it is revealed that she was drugging Gwenhwyfar to forestall an heir.
825	Morgause loses her way going to Camelot; Camelot is sinking into the mists.
837	Lancelet returns to Camelot with Galahad's body
838	Arthur proclaims Mordred his heir.
846	Mordred convinces Gawaine and Gareth that Arthur must be told about Lancelet and Gwenhwyfar.
852	Mordred kills Niniane
854	Gwenhwyfar and Lancelet are ambushed by Mordred and the Knights.
