Carnatic music lovers in Austin,Texas, have been paying homage to saint- composer Thyagaraja through an annual commemorative event since 1993.

  • Individual & Group Presentations by Children and Adults(March 8, 2008)

If you wish to take part in individual/Group renditions of Thyagaraja Kritis, please check the guidelines on the performance page and then email us. A periodically-updated list of participants and proposed kritis is also on that page.

This is a volunteer-run and volunteer-supported event. Offers to help with various aspects of organization (audio set-up, post-event clean-up, food, publicity etc.) are much appreciated. Please email us if you would would like to volunteer. Donations to help defray costs are welcomed , and may be made at the venue.
