| This ritual works well for people who have trouble clearing their minds enough to sink into a meditative state. You can also use it to increase communication with the Spirit Guides. Anoint the candles with the sandalwood oil, you can substitute vegetable oil and roll the candles in sandalwood powder if you want. Place the blue candles on either side of the candle that you chose to represent you. Light the blue candles and chant: "Spirit Guides/Higher Self, hear my plea! Come now and convers with me, Walk with me and guide me through This veil of trance, I ask of you." Light your candle and chant "I am surrounded by the peace of light, It calms and protects and brings new sight." Sit or lie down in a comfortable position, become aware of your breathin patterns. Inhale deeply and exhale fully, do not force your breath listen to the rhythm and feel your body relax. Close your eyes and focus on the spot between your eyes called the Third Eye. Visualize the following colors, in order one at a time: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, and white. Hold each color to the count of five and watch as it fades into the next color. Still focusing on the Third Eye "watch" your breath. See your chest rise and fall as the air flows in and out. Watch as your chest transforms into the ocean and the rhythm of your breath changes into its wave. A door appears on the water's surface, go in and visite your Spirit Guides/Higher Self. Ask questions and trust the answers, stay as long as you like. When you are ready to return to the mundane world walk out the door and watch as the tides and ocean transform again into your chest and breathing pattern. Open your eyes and say: "I return to Earth again. Thank you, Spirits,Self and Friends." Rise and snuff out the candles in reverse order. Put the candles in a safe place so that you can use them again the next time that you perform this ritual. |
