The posting
dates for groups of matches may move forward or back if the matches are
completed earlier or later than expected.
The postseason will start immediately after the qualifying teams and seedings have been established;
Any games
where a player times out will be awarded to the other player. The player timing out will be given a score
equivalent to the number of points they had won to the point of timing out,
with the other player given 11 points.
Should an
owner time out in more than one game and not communicate a valid reason why,
ownership rights will be lost and a new owner for the team will be appointed
from the list of reserve players.
Results and
standings will be updated regularly on this site and a link will be posted on
DailyGammon discussion board;
Pairings in
postseason will be determined in the same way as regular NFL rules;
Postseason
will be played as 11 point matches. As homefield advantage is seen as being of importance in the
postseason and has been voted on by owners in 2004, the ‘home player’ will
offer a double to their opponent who must drop and play continues as
normal. i.e.
home team needs10 points to win, visitor needs 11;
The
DailyGammon SuperBowl reverts to normal play as no homefield advantage would apply. The DailyGammon SuperBowl
will be played as an 11 point match;
All owners
at the end of the season will be given the opportunity to renew their team
ownership for the following season.
