Born in Argentina and passionate for airplanes, he built more than 300  static models as a child and began  with model aeronautics when he was 15.He knew an italian modelist, who thaught him how to interpret plans for gliders and models with rubberengines and also the technique how to  measure the plans and  the enlargement with scales. Then he started building  radio controlled models  and learned how to fly them. Living  in Ilhabela since 1987 he started building shipmodels using the knowledge acquired with model aeronautics. The first models that interested him were ancient galleys (ships moved with oars), such as viking , greek, egyptian and  phoenician  ships. He built them  in blocks using a special  soft wood  named caxeta, common in this place. Shortly after that he started building  typical fishing  ships of this region using plans developed by himself. In 1990 he got some plans in Argentina. Using some of them he built a Dhow or Sambuco (arabian ancient sailing  ship used to transport goods and passengers  in the Red Sea  and on the coasts of Coromandel – India) and  a Chinese Junk from the Yellow Sea – both models in scale 1/50. In 1991 he got an American book about the history of ancient danish sailing ships and build 13 models used  in the  19th and  20th century. In 1992  due the conmemoration of the 500 years  Christopher Columbus had discovered America a  collector  ordered the three ships Columbus had used, the  Nao “Santa Maria” and the  Caravels “La Pinta” and “La Niña”. In the following years he built  the “Sonho Meu”  a typical shallop of the region of Pantanal in Brazil – scale 1/20 ,”Tai Pan” a sailing ship from the Brazil class ( a “Sparkman and Stephens” project – These ships were built to run against the Argentinian sailing ships in the famous Buenos Aires – Rio regatta – scale 1/20), “Spray”  (this ship is a reproduction of Joshua Slocum´s  yawl. He was  the first person, that  sailed alone  around the world – scale 1/27), “True Love” – an American  fishing schooner from Gloucester  used in the 18th century – scale 1/50, “Xarifa” a  three mast  schooner used for passengers transport on the Atlantic Sea – scale 1/50, an egyptian barge used 2,500.00 years BC during  pharao  Sahura´s reign – scale 1/50, “Grumete” (a traditional argentinian sailing ship projected in 1941 by German Frers – scale 1/10), “Lepe” (traditional  English sailing ship. The project won  a  concurrence in England in 1942 – scale 1/12),  “Dorna” (ancient spanish fishing ship used  in the streams of Galicia -Spain – scale 1/30) and other small models such as Sand Dollar – USA , Pati – Marino – Lisa (launch) ARG, batera (small  brazilian fishing ship) and  an eskimo Kayak -  North Pole. These small easier  models  were built in series. In mid 1997 he  did a research  for the  Comercial and Industries Association from São Sebastião for a project that  couldn´t be finished.  This research was about the nautical history of the channel of São Sebastião and region. It  happened in  the Library of the Brazilian Marine in Ilha das Cobras – Rio de Janeiro (corsaires, pirates and Cisplatine war), Geographic Institute of  São Vicente (pirates and foreign invasions), Fishing Museum of Santos (whales fishing) and  Anthropology Museum from the USP - São Paulo University (Portuguese conquers, tupinambas and tupiniquins canoes). In July 1999 he presented a project to the Secretary of Culture of Ilhabela to  carry out a workshop to teach  how to build shipmodels. This course  lasted 6 months and 9 students finished it having learned how to build three models, interprete plans and they also had classes about the maritime  history of the region. Due to the 500 years of the discovery of Brazil he developed a project to build the “San Gabriel” (Vasco da Gama´s  captainship) and two years later Pedro Alvares de Cabral´s captainship  too. This project  was aproved by the Brasil 500 anos federal  program. Because of the lack of plans, the artist used a german plastic model  of the ship ( brand - Revell) in scale 1/100 and drawings showing the vessels used during this time to prepare themselves. The model is in scale 1/ 20 and  has 1.49 meters  lenght and 1.70 meters  height and can be sailed. It was  delivered to the Secretary of Culture on April 22nd  2000. On this same year Mr. Wilfredo Schurmann from the “Schurmann Family”  ordered a model of his ship Aysso to make part of an exhibit showing his  3 year trip around the world. This model is in scale 1/20 and was built according to the original french project of 1985.Since 1999 he started working for a collector building  the following models: “Orion” (ketch – argentinian project built in Santa Catarina – Brazil – scale 1/16), “Atlantic 42” (trawler – yacht – american project from 2001 – scale 1/37), “Sarandi” ( Baltimore clipper of 1825 – argentinian corsaire that used the islands of Ilhabela , Santa Catarina and Ilha Grande to hide from the Portuguese navy – scale 1/37) and “HMS Aldebaran” (english armed cutter). All this models  can be seen in the store “Freijó” , situated in Juquehy  - São Sebastião – São Paulo – Brazil. It has to be pointed out that the artist carves all the pieces  of the decks and riggings using several kinds of pocket-knives without using any machines like  power lathes or with models  and using woods  such as white cedar, pink cedar, mahogany, cherrywood, pine, maracatiara, imbuia (this two brazilian woods)  He only uses a drill and an electric saw  All the hulls are ribbed and planked. During all this time and  living on a place where watersports are common he developed  regatta models  such as the  “Laser”, “Star”, “Optimist”, Hobie Cat 16”,  “Snipe” and “Windsurf” boards. He realized some exhibits in the Yacht Club of Ilhabela,  the secretary of Culture of Ilhabela and others. His projects for the future are to build a spanish Warship  from 1760 and the “HMS Swift”, an  english corvette that participated of the capture of the Malvinas or Falkland islands in the 18th century.
