·         Amanowel Skandar was born in 1962 in the village of  Tal Sakra , Syria.

·         When he was 1 year old, he moved with his family to AL_HASSAKE city of Syria and he lived there until now.

·         He started as a Guitar player with the Unity band of The Assyrian Catholic Church in AL_HASSAKE supervised by REV. Afram Sharestan. Then Amanowel became the main  singer of the UNITY band.   

·         In 1985 when he was 18 he distributed the first of his 12 albums.

·         He performed hundreds of parties in and out of Syria:

-         Australia 1991, 1993, 1994, 2000 , 2003

-         Germany 1995, 2000

-         Greece 1999

-         Russia 1993 (at the First Festival of The Assyrian arts)

·         His song (ZALOMA) received the award of the first place in the Second Assyrian Songs Festival ( Kamishly, Syria).

·         Amanowel Skandar has a pleasant voice, very high performance capabilities, marvellous talent and a wide musical education.  

·         Amanowel Skandar is the singer who is complying with top-level art that exceeds offering temporary enjoyment to permeate into audience’s conscience by choosing the best music and lyrics for his songs. He always does his best to make his albums to befit the ancient Assyrian civilization.
