Communications backbone for the local community
In September 1996 I saw the need for a local communications infrastructure in Tg.Mures - Marosvasarhely.
After several discussions with qualified people I would suggest the following:
- ATM switch in the Town Hall and at P. Maior University
- A fibre optic network in between.
The University is allready connected to the RoEduNet - the Romanian Educational Network's Backbone.
There is a simple way to connect the University with local High schools (Papiu, Bolyai, Unirea), given the fact that distances are under 1/2 mile
-The Town Hall can offer information of public interest and will be connected to the network for Romanian Administration.
-People and companies will have access to the backbone through
ISPs connected to the Town Hall Switch
