Reuben B. Ricketts married Jane Richardson on December 18, 1853. They had at least two children:

     (1) Lucy Ann Ricketts was born December 31, 1855 and died June 30, 1948. On May 30, 1875, she married James Wesley Hearp (born in 1845 and died August 16, 1925). They had at least ten children:
             (a) Lorena Bell Hearp, who was born on March 2, 1876, married Willie W. Stowe.
             (b) Wildie Jane Hearp, who was born on October 5, 1878, married Walter A. Yeatts.
             (c) James Wesley Hearp, Jr., was born May 6, 1886 and died June 18, 1948. On April 16, 1905, he married Cora Brown (who was born March 3, 1888 and died September 14, 1971).
             (d) Eva Allean Hearp, who was born on July 6, 1897, married Oscar Stowe.
             (e) Lillie May Hearp, who was March 14, 1895, and died September 5, 1968. She married Lester Lee Jones in November 1912.
             (f) Lou Nettie Hearp, who was born June 23, 1888.
             (g) William Bennett Hearp, who was born on September 28, 1890, and married Laura C. Davis on December 28, 1911.
             (h) Leonard Hutchings Hearp was born on November 7, 1892. He married Daisy Lee Stowe on December 27, 1914.
             (i) Albert Hodges Hearp was born on March 19, 1881.
             (j) Sirlestal Helen Hearp was born on July 20, 1883.

     (2) James Henry Ricketts was born about 1859, and died August 11, 1940. He married Sallie E. Brightwell (daughter of Johnny and Mary Jane Brightwell, was born about 1863 and died March 13, 1937) on December 28, 1886. They had at least six children:
             (a) Claude Lee Ricketts was born September 29, 1887 and died on December 1, 1935, and never married.
             (b) Mary Jane Ricketts was born April 19, 1899, and died July 6, 1968. In 1912 she married Oscar R. Hardy. They had six children:
                  (1) Norman Linwood Hardy was born August 21, 1924.
                  (2) Raymond A. Hardy was born in 1923 and died on January 5, 1945 in Belgium (World War II).
                  (3) Rev. Oscar R. "Bud" Hardy, Jr., was born August 18, 1926.
                  (4) Elsie Lillian Hardy Durham was born October 12, 1919. She married Jesse Woodrow Durham.
                  (5) Myrtle Louise Hardy was born on July 31, 1917 and died March 26, 1981.
                  (6) Mary Elizabeth Hardy was born on October 26, 1914.
             (c) William Bennett Ricketts was born May 29, 1903 and died August 31, 1959. He married Annie Nichols
