ASIA MINOR

The term "Asia Minor" has been used to describe the geographical area that roughly encompasses modern-day Turkey. The shape of this area is a miniature of the whole continent of Asia.

The Roman province of Bithynia was located in northwestern Asia Minor (Turkey). The Holy Spirit told the Apostle Paul not to go to Bithynia.

Acts 16:6-7 Now when they [Paul and his companions] had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. (NKJ)
Although the Holy Spirit would not allow Paul to travel into Bithynia, the United States Air Force sent me there in 1961. I was assigned to Karamursel Air Force Base, working as a radio intercept analysis specialist until June 1963.

This section is still under construction. I will in the future be adding more information here.
