How long has the mortal walked the earth.  So much has it met on the journey!

For now the Spirit has walked long and it is for the younger to be ignorant of the journey.  It is often that the ederly is like the Earth.  For the Earth is for some something to be respected, and something to learn from. It is something familiar that has provided to us for survival.  Yet to some it is mearly ground.  A thing which can dirty our hands that we need to wash our hands of.   The trees and the animals that live on it are mearly something that is there and something to manipulate.

The wisdom of the elders are as the wisdom of the earth. For the Earth, too, is old. It has met with times of sickness and saddness.  It has seen death and rebirth.  Infinite cycles that will go on beyond our time.

It is now some say that the body has reached that point which the leaves that once grew so thick and healthy begin to wither and the plants begin to disappear their colorful buds now just a wonderous memory.  A cold winter frost touches the island and dusts the plants with a white sparkle.  The waters begin to freeze.  Yet as the weather changes the landscapes shines with its own pulse.   There is a beauty that no other season held.

It is the end of another cycle, but not the end of the memory of it.
