Pegasus Birth

The Greeks tell a tale the Pegasus was born from blood and earth.  When Perseus cut off Medusa's head, the blood that sank into the earth created Pegasus.  Minerva caught Pegasus when the magnificent creature flew up.  Once Minerva tamed Pegasus she was presented to the Muses.

Minerva gave Bellerophon a golden harness that tamed her.  Bellerophon defeated the chimerea with the help of Pegasus as well as other trials in an attempt to marry.

Bellerophon went to far, however and tried to fly to the heavens.  Jupiter sent a gadly which stung Pegasus.    Bellerophon was thrown to the ground.  Ever after he wondered in the Alain Field lame, lonely, and blind.

Pegasus was placed in Zeus's stable with the task of bringing thunderbolts and lightning to the gods.  (Perhaps this is where the constellation Pegasus comes from)
