The Orange Rogue Itself

The music for the set dance known as the Orange Rogue can be found on Olive Hurley's "Sets and Solos," and I have just found a partial version of it to download. The Orange Rogue, about 35 seconds, 25k Also, here is the score. It is not actually my set per se; I am working on the "Piper Thro' the Meadow Straying." I have fond memories, though, of hearing it for the first time at a feis, as the boy who was dancing to it carried the appropriate crop of copper silk upon his head. His turning back clicks were fabulous. My then-thirteen-year-old heart was smitten.

Obviously, of course, the name was also appropriate for my semi rebellious, yet hopelessly traditional (perhaps more aptly put as reverent of the past than trad., actually) soul. Perhaps I should dye my hair red once again, so the entirety of the name is literal... (I don't think so!!!).
