Does the world need another list of favorite links?

Probably not .... but then my bookmarks are here for me ;-> Having your bookmarks up on the web is a great way to ensure that you always have access to them no matter where you are.
Anyway, at the risk of adding more redundant information to the Web, here are my links.

Maybe you can tell a lot about a person from his bookmarks. You can certainly see that some of my tastes are decidedly low-brow (worst of the web, etc.). I think that this list really does demonstrate the great breadth of the information that out there on the Web. From detailed info about a crappy SciFi show from the late 70's to advice on how to buy a car and a home to ways to contact your congressman.

I love the web.

Way back when -- at the begining of the boom, before the bust -- I worked at a great company called Freemark. It died when the major investor,  CMG,  pulled the plug on our financing.  I then spent about ten months working for CMG.  We did free e-mail FIRST.  Before Hotmail, before Juno, before anyone.   Here are some of the ex-Freemarkers (in no particular order):

Vacation Possibilities

Before you check out those links, take a look at Frommer's on line.  I've found out about some incredible bargins through this site and its e-mail list.   It is also worthwhile to dig for airfare bargins at Expedia, Travelocity, and, Yahoo.

Despite her best efforts, Francis Kasprzak didn't paralyze or kill me when she hit me with her car (better luck next time Francie!). I decided not to pursue bankrupting her, and I settled with her insurance company. I set aside a chunk of change for a vacation to Israel.  I went in March of 1999.  It had been about nine years since I had been to Israel, and I had a fantastic time.  Gee, I just realized I forgot to drop Francis a postcard.

Israel
The  Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) They give excellent day tours and extended trips, focusing on hikes and nature.  This was one of the best experiences I've ever had in Israel.  I heartily recommend them to anyone who likes getting out of the bus and hiking.  The only problem I can think of is that their website's location is constantly changing.  If the above link doesn't work, try finding them via the Jerusalem Post.

The home page of of the Masorati  Movement in Israel, the sister group of the Conservative Movement in America.  I dropped in on Friday AM and they arranged Friday night Shabbat dinner for me and Mary.  Do them a favor and give them more notice than I did.  Their Shabbat services were great.  They are located on King George St, just past the Great Synagogue in J'lem.

Egged Bus company
Egged Bus Tours  LAME LAME LAME  OK, the second of the two tours I did with them wasn't half bad, but the trip I did with them to Massada was the worst one I've done out of about six tours there.

Here are some places that I have been to and have enjoyed immensely:

Puerto Rico: My wife's company was closed by the Evil Empire Jr., Tompson publishing.  With some of the severance package, we spent a week in Puerto Rico and had a wonderful time.  Here are some links:
