Judy Moffitt's Biography

Who is Judy Moffitt?

Judy's interest in training horses dates back almost to birth. She first asked for a horse for Christmas when she was two. At seven (in 1962!), she started riding lessons. She has used cavalletti since she was about ten or eleven. She has been involved in dressage training since 1988. Currently, she owns and trains a Hannovarian named Grand Stand (Andy). He will be making his show debut next year. Her previous horse was an Arabian named ShiBu Radeen (Dean) who competed up through Second Level and schooled through Fourth Level. She trains with Carol Bishop of Gastonia, North Carolina.

Judy is interested in training topics because she has been a computer software instructor. She has 18 years of computer experience and has been doing training full-time for the last five. Currently she is taking classes at George Washington University in the Educational Technology and Leadership Master's Program. The cavalletti lesson plan site was developed as a project for her class in Educational Web Design. She is also the Assistant Webmaster for the National Banking Network.
