1. The westbound City of San Francisco, running several hours late, stops for servicing at Sparks, Nevada. The motive power this day was an SDP-45 and an FP-7. The front of the train included two Milwaukee Road baggage cars followed by two Union Pacific chair cars.

2. The rear of the train included an SP Budd chair car, dome lounge, Budd diner, and two Budd sleepers.

3. The Sparks yard office.

4. The inside of the dome lounge car as the City of San Francisco approaches the Sierra Nevada mountains.
