In 1950 the GN inaugurated the streamlined five-car International on a thrice daily schedule between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. My brother photographed the nearly new train with his Argus C-3 in either 1950 or 1951.
The southbound International passes through Ferndale, Washington. Just ahead is the bridge over the Nooksack River.
