It's very early in the morning when an eastbound freight approaches Colton behind four GP9s.
As the sun rises, the westbound combined Sunset and Golden State slows
for its stop at the Colton station.
Mail is unloaded from the two RPO-baggage cars as the
early morning sun highlights the train's consist.
The train leaves Colton behind six E-units. The next
stop will be Pomona.
The usual blunt-end 10-6 sleeper brings up the rear
of of the train. Ahead of it is a Rock Island sleeper.
