Unlike previous asymmetric Stuka projects the P.178 was powered with a turbojet Jumo.004 engine slung under the wing on the starboard side. Two tubes projecting from the tail might be the rockets for emergency power acceleration. The bomb load is carried within fuselage. It can be either one SC 500 bomb which lies wholly within the fuselage or SC 1000, which projects slightly.
