Here is my new telescope that I purchased from a friend who had purchased it from my astronomical club. It was originally a loaner club scope. It is a homemade 10inch Newtonian/Dobsonian f6 1500mm focal length with a 8X50 finder and University Optics mirrors. It was beautifully made by several club members and I am proud to own it. The views from it are spectacular!
My name is Ron Zincone and I live in Richmond, Rhode Island not far from Yawgoo Valley and between Exeter and Hope Valley. I live in an area that is very rural and there are no street lights which make for a natural dark sky site perfect for astronomical observations and astrophotography. It is truly a pleasure to be able to deliver my images to you since I feel that our dark skies are endangered of becoming extinct due to the ever growing light pollution sources. Generations to come may never get to witness such celestial grandeur by looking up in the night sky without traveling great distances to remote areas. It is my hope and pleasure that these images will help to not only capture and reveal the splendor of the universe but also archive and preserve our night sky.
The purpose of my website is to display my images and techniques of astrophotography. This is a combination of photography, astronomy and nature and is a spinoff from astronomical observing. It is low-light photography at the extreme. I have been enjoying this great hobby and now business "ronald zincone photography" for 7 years. My website features some of my best images and related information as well as astronomical information.
