This is an annotated list of some of the books
I have had the pleasure of (or the requirement of) reading. Some of these books I include because they made a negative impact on my understanding. It took me years to undo, for example, the exegetical damage wrought by reading Lindsay's The Late Great Planet Earth.
Much of what I have to say is subjective and in some cases unenlightened I am sure.
I suspect that I appreciate some books for the wrong reasons and trash other
great works because of what should be minor disagreements. Oh well... what
do you expect from a polymath?
What I appreciate about good books is that they
make me feel unsatisfied. Unsatisfied with myself and with what (I think)
I know. Some of these books, especially many in the first category, whet
my desire to increase my knowledge of God and the world that is full of
His signature. Let me know what your thoughts are on some of these books.
Don't hesitate to mention some of your favorites.
If you have any comments to share on these books
or any others please drop me a line.
Like many web pages, this book page is definitely
a work in progress (I'll spare you the graphic of Mr Construction Man).
I am slowly annotating some of the books on these lists and provide links
to other pertinent sites. My goal right now, since time is limited, is
to write a little on many of these books rather than in depth on just a
few of them. Then I will, hopefully, add to the earlier pages with even
more profound misunderstanding.

For some reason I am opting to keep the cheesy graphics below. They were made when I first started doing these pages (1997 I think). This whole page needs major work.
